Metallica Fan Reviews @ Sommet Center - Nashville, TN

I've been to see Metallica thrice. St. Louis (Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit), Atlanta (Godsmack) and Nashville (this show, Lamb of God).

Don't know if it was because they just got back from the Euro-leg of the tour and didn't quite have things set up right yet or if it was Lamb of God opening and having shit too loud themselves, but it was way too damn loud. It just sounded loud rather than heavy. Maybe I'm just getting old (mid-20s). Still love Metallica though.

The old man at 2:15 was drunk as fuck, I bumped into him like four or five times throughout the show. Smelt like straight up whiskey. lol He snuck down on the main floor twice and got caught both times.

alot of pppl talk about the light show and fireworks. thats not what metal is about tho. i wish they would get rid of that stuff

Gotta love the southern accents....too bad Metallica have these huge egos and cannot even imagine in their starstruck minds a situation in which they would open for Slayer, Megadeth or Anthrax....it's a shame, beacuse they started in the same time and are not better than those bands....

Just because Metallica made more money doesn't make them better musically....they should rotate if they want "The Four Big" Tour. I am skeptical this tour will happen and it's all Metallica's fault if it doesn't...

Majority and money decide quality....metal was never about money...if Metallica lack the humility to open for any of those 3 bands from the same generation of metal, then they are not metal anymore so why bother puttin such a tour together...

They may not be better, but they're more popular. That's why you've got everyone disagreeing with you. Just wouldn't make sense to have Metallica open for Megadeth or Anthrax... Slayer, yeah, maybe. Gotta' have some respect for Slayer.
