  • SAVES THE DAY INFLUENCE --> this is awesome

  • Nice hair flip at 0:16 and tell Peanut that he/she is adorable. I do like the song and I dont think its too pop-ish but if you want to take my advise, because you know I'm such a knowledgeable pro (that was drpping with sarcasm by th way), maybe you can do it in someting other than a 4/4 time sig. I personally like 5/4 by that might just be me..

  • Very Coheed and Cambria-ish I think.

  • hey chris.i think you should record it properly.the song us catchy.i think i like it and i believe a lot of people also like it.

    anyway,is that ur dog?

    rgards from Malaysia.

  • its a combo o f everything i like lol very get up kids and saves the day to me. but seriously. put out an album. now. like right now. now.

  • So how many fans do you think you have by now? How many people from different countries have commented on how much they like you and your voice? Just wondering....Europe Tour 2010 yet?

  • Great song mate , Enjoyed it muchly

  • Yes serious Saves The Day Influence. In at least the vocals.

Incredible. I love your stuff. Subscribed!

  • Nothing like Conley's vocal's. Whole different texture. Though I'm sure he might take that as a compliment.

  • Call it "Sleep on it"

That's the one line of the song that stood out the most to me.

  • This guy's voice is like a perfect combination of saves the day and get up kids.

    really amazing videos.

  • There's nothing wrong with undertones of pop in your music, from looking at the bands you cover they all incorporate serious elements of pop songwriting into their music.

Great song though man, if you ever put together a demo or album or something I'd check it out for sure.

Reminds me alot of Saves the Day, albeit acoustic.

  • Yes, very poppish. Even resembles Adam Sandler's "Grow Old With Me" at the opening. Pop isn't bad, though. Even Radiohead has a handful of songs with a pop background, they just offset it with intentional offkey guitar, effects, etc.

All that said, pop is popular for a reason. It is a message wrapped in an easy to swallow package. There is always a place for it. Personally, I think this is a fine song and deserves a sopt in just about any catalog.

  • great as always...saves the day influence??

  • can't even remember now I stumbled onto your page, but bro...get a band together, make some demos, get this shit out there. Very good stuff.

  • Bloody Brilliant... i agree with some of the others that a little breakdown riff somewhere in the middle might make things 100%...just break out into a Jack Black Tenacious D vocal solo man you've got the pipes for it...hah love the end rambling too!!! are you in standard tuning? If not you should seriously try DADGAD tuning I think you could come up with some amazing songs with the open chord voicings that that tuning offers! Cheers mate and looking forward to hearing more originals and lessons

  • Call it "Sleep on it"?

  • title = "I'm Not A Cassette Tape"

    lol weird, nonsensical titles.

    gotta love 'em.

you have so much talent it makes me fucking sick.

    amazing dude...seriously.

  • You are very talented. I really enjoy listening to you sing. I've only watched about 2-3 of your videos and I think I've found a new favorite artist!

I'm going to learn it right now!

  • Name of the song? "Let's sleep on it". Not too poppy at all! Great song... as usual. The melody kinda drags on. I do realize it's acoustic, but a short break down riff would fully complete this song.

  • dude make ur music on myspace addable to profiles

  • dude u gota make a cd this stuff is amazing bro keeep it up

  • nice... do u have a band? or are u solo... i am very interested

  • Nope, no band. Right now it's just me...

  • Haha, man. Your cover of Rocks Tonic Juice Magic is nuts. So you guys teamed together would rock the balls and ass of the music world.

  • ha!

  • Why don't you call this The Rain Outside? Or some variation of that.

Now I like this song, though parts of it remind me of the song Adam Sandler sang to Drew Barrymore in The Wedding Singer. But I don't see how that's a bad thing or if anyone else noticed it.

  • LOL. It has some of the same chords, now that you mention it.

  • Name eh? What do you think about...

    Sitting

    Sitting in the Rain

    Ink under the Rain

    Rain Ink

Hmm, I also dug it. I thought it was pretty cool, there was a sweet melody in both the chorus and verse. I don't think too poppy is a bad thing. I think that you're comparing this song to other pop--which you don't like.
