You need to look up Edward Bernays and learn what propaganda is, watch "The Century of the Self." If by now you or anyone else haven't figured out that buildings don't fall at close to free fall speeds due to fire then you are hopelss. @h2opower Democracies ( demos = the people & kratia=power rule) DOES work. The reason it doesn't seem to be working now is because there has been a concerted effort to demolish it, mostly by the corporations the banks and our politicians. For Democracy to work, the people demand that corps.& banks & politician are held accountable. That means regulations and law and prosecution of offenders of those laws and regulations.
So instead of accepting that Democr. doesn't work, WORK TO STRENGTHEN IT!!

@betterpresident09 Can you tell me what the difference is between a Democracy and a Republic? The reason being the word can not be found in our constitution anywhere and there is a very strong reason for that. I already know the difference so I am asking you to see if you also know what the differences are. Once you answer this you will know why Democracies don't work and why the word never was put into the making up of our country. Have fun ;-)
