@Paulinus. These are all American cars--photographed when Americans mainly bought American cars. A few years after this recording the British music "Invasion" swept the US and Americans mainly wanted to hear "The Limey Sound." There is no EH Holden there, mate! (Holden is a car marketed in Australia--and exported)!
Yep, ain't it a shame that cars like this aren't produced anymore. Back when cars had class and style, each one different, each one with it's own distinct personality. When I was in High School, the NEW year brought the NEW cars, and we looked forward to them with high expectations of the new brute power and speed each Ford and Chevy brought. Ford and Chevy, the two most popular cars of the period, each one had it's admirers and detractors, but we loved those cars......and the music.
Johnny went to my church in Port Arthur, Tx. since i was born, and im now 16. Sat in the pew in front of me. He was a very nice guy and always led the songs!Miss you man and im watching over your grandkids! See you again at the golden gates someday.
Wonderful song, Johnny Preston one of the true contributions on the beginnings of "Rock & Roll" and at 2:17 on the video a great shot of a 1950's white Buick in Habana Cuba, It doesn't get any better than that!
still have this 45 after buying it when it was first released !! OMG i am getting old!!Loved this song as a teenager....and still do !! Isnt it amazing how timeless music is !!
This song makes me feel so good and sexy. I think it represents a time of freedom, love, and youth. It just transports me back to a good time in my life. Aging has a way of taking so much of that away from you. I love this song..
92% of teenagers have turned to New school and Pop.If you are part of the 8% that still listen to real music post this on all the old skool songs
@walt7500 Another note on" Running Bear". The Big Bopper did the background on that . It was recorded before he died . He told Johnny Preston it was going to be a hit . Johnny never really liked the song but was gratified to see the Big Bopper was right but a year after his death
My favourite in a childhood. Thanks for uploading.

Even in the sixties it was impossible to get records of BB in the Netherlands!
