@silverdreamer1889 I knew Tiersen, I just wouldn't have said he was my favourite composer. Times have changed... And yes, I adore Nyman! The Piano and its music are truly incredible. And I've got a cd of string quartets of his, played by the Balanescu quartet that I love... Me? Music junkie?
Any other composers of awsomeness you'd like to share?
@k9596 haaaa I know that quartet, I've heard that recording once...Other comopsers? Let's say minimalism is nomore my favourite genre...but I still love tiersen and nyman so much...
riesco a scorgervi sonorita' delle musiche tradizionali irlandesi che si trasformano in modernita',diventa tarantella e si tuffa in tango... per finire in classicità:lieve e solenne.meravigliosa!
first of all.. you can play all musical instruments if you know how to use a pc (lol). But thats not yann's style . Yann plays guitar, piano, violin and many many more instruments but as far as i know he merely records himself playing guitar
That's exactly what I hear in the songs of Yann Tiersen. To me, most of his songs are like memories of old and sometimes bad times but theres always something happy in them, something thankful, hopeful!
Feels like time's running out when I listen to this song... it perfectly comveys a feeling of desperation, hopelessnes, headstrong endurance and futile effort in a way no other track can. A true materpiece!
that's defenetly an artist,, this music looks like moving from a place to an other remembring plenty of things,, et on y trouve une sorte de nostalgie pour des choses passees gadore aussi que ca s'appelle Deja Loin,, alors kon a tout laisse derriere nous,,
it's a bonus track on a limited edition of Amelie's soundtrack, along with "L'autre valse d'Amelie" Orchestra version ; "Comptine d'un autre été : La démarche" ; and "La maison"
Thank you so much!! I found the song!! Do you know where I can find the scores of these songs? Has Yann produced any new albums lately? Will he be touring soon?
I couldn't agree more. I was lucky enough to find Yann before I'd even heard of Amelie. After listening to a few of his songs, I immediately got his entire discography :D Amazing stuff, I can't wait for more.
I just wanted to change my personal image so I uploaded this video whit the red star in the middle...the other 4 photos...I made them with photoshop ^__^ the song...one of my favorites from c'était ici <3 thanks!
i love this, love it a lot!!!

my favorite part was that hipster on the motor scooter, the natural lighting from that star really accented his alternative style.

Oh, my fucking god.
I'm so damn speechless, I don't know what I have to say.
This sing is epic, fantastic, it drives me crazy in a great way.
It's unbelievable what this music makes with my heart.
No words can explain this masterpiece.
No word is good enough to discribe this.
And maybe I'm not worth to hear this.
My heart beats so hard and fast.
This song makes me happy.
I don't know but I'm pretty sure that I'm fallen in love

I have a very dumb question, being a musician myself, but this main theme, is it played on a guitar, and if yes, does Yann play that guitar himself?
And furthermore, I watched a video seeing Yann play Valse D'Amelie on his guitar, can't find it anymore, does anyone have?

aaronswho 4 years ago 2
you should get informed about his discography, he's got 12 or 13 albums and he's recording a new one right now.
I think that les deux piano is in the limited edition of Amélie's soundtrack.
bye
