This remix takes the best part of the song out of the equation (the bass lick) and adds a very simple, very unfitting drum beat. The synth parts are cool and mellow, but don't really fit with the song either. A remix is supposed to take a good song, and make it great! The only thing this remix does is use the old song as a crutch to sound OK. Also, changing the structure might help the background music you chose fit better. Your build-up movements fall flat and leave me disappointed. :l

And as for taste in music, considering how I listen to pretty much everything except current pop (post 1990), country, and screamo, I'd say I have pretty good taste in music. It seems I'm one of the few who can appreciate Tchaikovski, Bill Monroe, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Nickel Creek, Prince, Yiruma, and Del the Funkee Homosapien all at the same time. :P
