  • Hey Steve

Thanks so much for the videos. They're amazing. could you make the slot for the headblock with a dovetail bit on a router? wouldn't that work just as well?

  • man u need to make a video on making an electric guitar, that would be the greatest thing ever!!!

anyway this is incredible awesome this videos are the greatest

  • your videos are great!! One (maybe the only) of the best instructional videos i ever seen.

    Bravo!

  • steve thank you very much i gained a lot of knowledge from you than anyone else in guitar building

  • Outstanding videos. Steve knows his stuff and is a pleasure to watch. Keep em coming

  • Hi Steve. Love the video's. Wanted to ask if this is a hobby of yours or is this something that you learned as part of a trade or in line with a trade, such as carpentry?. Also, do you have plans or blueprints of the guitar when you make them?.If so could you email them to me as i would like to try and make a guitar for myself and my son. We are both guitar players and i would love to make one some day. love your work, excellent job. keep it up !. C43

  • Thanks for the comments. I'm just a hobby builder who kept running into people who thought that building a guitar was beyond them. I decided to shoot the videos to try and convince people to give it a try. Few people ever become master builders (I never will), but almost all of us can build a decent sounding instrument.

  • Thanks Steve. I might just give it a go myself. Dont know if i can get that timber i need though here in Aus. Will check out it out though. Thanks again and keep the video's coming they are reallyGreat !.

  • @bobloblaw1701 Love the videos! great job! But at or around the 3:25 mark, you made a comment about going through to many paper towels! (funny)

Personally, I hate the kind they sell in supermarkets, as

    1) They cost too much, and

    2) They are all mostly crap.

Since my autobody days, I have switched to "Scott's Rags In a Box"!

These things are way beyond hyper soft and absorbent, but they last forever, too!

Great for polishing and waxing, as well!

  • Also, there are lots of great books out there such as "Guitarmaking: Tradition and Technology" if you want step by step instructions.

  • Thanks mate

  • I messed up and ordered a dovetail joint. Should have got M & T for my first guitar.
