  • shelter dog have food, water and place to live, when those puppy mill dogs dont. so who really win when you buy from a shelter especialy when there are about the same prices. should we just leave the mill dogs there to suffer???

  • I'm depressed now.....

  • This I what happens when you but them from PETLAND.

  • Shut these breeders DOWN!

  • animal shelters that provide euthanasia or 'kill shelters' are not part of the problem. there is a rediculous amount of unwanted pets and if all shelters were no kill they would become overwhelmed and become like a hoarder's establishment. there isn't enough money and space to go around to give all animals food, shelter, water, and a chance to be sane. for the ones that would have to live for years in a shelter would literally go crazy, and it would actually be more humane to euthanize.

  • its make me cry to watch dis :(

  • uhhhh I have a Maltese and my friend has one... they r bf and gf and my dog is currently pregnant .. is that bad?

  • @jiwoo56

Depends on your definition of bad? If you consider that for every puppy your dog has, a dog will die in shelter...

  • I don't approve of dog farmers.

JMHO....the worst people you will ever encounter are the creeps who backyard breed.

They have even invented their own breeds.

    Cockapoo,laberdoodle,jugs..........the list is endless.

Better yet....2 to 800 for a 'purebred' GSD.

    Wake up!

  • This is why I will only buy a dog or any animal in need. On the road, maybe a sick one or one with a disability or another problem. I will only buy or keep that kind.

  • You can help!

Keep an eye out for animals living in poor conditions and puppy mills in rural areas, ie; farms, poorly taken care of property and homes, houses with a lot of land or homes that are set back in wooded areas.

If you are considering buying a puppy from a local pet store ask questions. Do your research on where the puppy came from. You might be able to get enough information to travel to the breeders location and take a look at the living conditions. Donate and volunteer at shelters!

  • sad

  • Very sad

  • Break my heart. I don't like someone killed dogs for NO REASON. STOP KILLED DOGS!! Dogs can feeling just like us feeling. Look at dogs so sad and suffering. Sigh.

  • Thank you for posting this. It breaks my heart that this is happening.

  • If you're going to buy a dog, MAKE SURE you visit where the puppies are bred and born. A lot of people can't turn down a great "deal", but I can tell you from experience that it's MUCH more expensive to pay vet bills for an animal that hasn't been bred properly. PAY THE EXTRA MONEY AND ENCOURAGE RESPONSIBLE BREEDERS!!

  • What you say is certainly true.....It's also important to remember that PURCHASING A DOG OR PUPPY FROM ANYONE WHO IS BREEDING,WHETHER IT BE VIA THESE DISGUSTING PUPPY MILLS OR A BACK YARD BREEDER CONTRIBUTES TO THE DEATH OF MILLIONS OF DOGS....BREEDING FOR PROFIT IS WRONG...THERE ARE TOO MANY HOMELESS PETS,MANY OF THEM PUREBREDS....DON'T SHOP!!!! ADOPT!!!!

  • That's a really good point, yes. Thanks Kitty - adopting is definitely better than backyard breeder, etc. I guess my point was if you feel like you have to have a purebred for whatever reason, make sure you're responsible. But adoption > breeder, you hit that on the head.

  • I disagree. I would never buy from a backyard breeder or shop, but there are so many reputable breeders out there there shouldn't be these options. Adopting is nice, but it is a gamble in the areas of health, temperament, and mind. Not everyone who breeds contributes to the death, in fact, every single reputable breeder takes steps to make sure they do not EVER contribute to the dogs in shelters.

  • If anyone from Animal Ark checks this - could you tell me if the video of the boxers at the beginning of this video is from Hibbing, MN in 2004? I think the boxer female shown is the dog we rescued! I've been looking for video/photos of the puppymill for years!

  • I am in complete agreement with androclestipster and CityDogLover! I don't understand either how this is still going on! The only way to stop puppy mills is to never, ever buy a cute little puppy in a pet store, however hard it is. Don't shop. Adopt!

  • thank you for this video. How unfortunate that people allow this horrifying treatment to go on, and on, and on. It must be stopped and be a dirty little secret of the long lost past. The shelters that are supposed to protect the animals need to go to nokill immediatly. no excuses. It can be done and must be done now.

  • Thanks for this video! People NEED to pay more attention; please people, no more "It's not my problem." IT IS!

    5/5 Faved.

  • inhumane??? I have a different idea of the one word to describe it! My heart is seared by the eyes of that last little dog - and in his despicable state...he's wagging his tail! tears a plenty

  • my friend but a cat from like petco or something, and the cat died 2 weeks l8r. that shiws you wut a bad job those puppy mills do... dont buy an animal from puppy mills or stores. help those animals in places like the ASPCA

  • this song is ok if u like it talk to me

  • so you think about music over animal conditions like these

  • I don't think the point of this video is the music. Try thinking about the animals instead...

  • 5/5 .........this is so true......

  • ITs not the responsible breeders, it the byb and puppy mills. Its the stupidity of the general public who buys pets in pets stores... NO RESPONSIBLE breeder will ever ever sell to a pet store. Anyone looking for a purebred pet will spend less and get a healthier pet going to a breeder. And there are lots of great dogs in shelters or with rescues. DON'T buy pets in pet stores, don't even buy products at stores that sell pets.

  • aww the dogs are so cute

  • It is unbelievable to me that people can do this kind of thing and live seeing the conditions they are creating day after day. I just don't understand why they are allowed to get away with this stuff. Should be totally untolerable. thanks for posting

  • This really touched me and it might

take a while until something is done ..

I do hope something happens that will

stop this. I have my own Maltese - Poodle.

If she ever passes away [which I would

hate] I will definitely tell my mom

about this and go adopt one.

    :]

  • Let's line up breeders and shoot them. Most of the animals they breed will die from sickness or end up in shelters. Don't shop, Adopt!!!! & spay & neuter...

  • :(

    the animals r sooo cute

why would u do those things to an animal??

i hate people that do stuff like that

  • poor little animals... Its so sad:(

  • Human rights are one thing. But the difference between abusing human's rights and animals' is that animals don't have a chance against us; they can't escape or really fight back. Crimes against other species than ourselves our far worse than any crime amongst ourselves. Animals have feelings too. I'm glad some people care.

  • Way to tell it like it is. Anyone who buys a pet, paticularly from a pet store, is contributing money to this horrific industry.

  • so sad :(

Great video though to send a message to everyone out there...Hopefully sothing will be done about it =)
