Came across this while trying to find Fireman Frank video from the Nightmare Theater intro. Remember NNNiiiiiggggghhhhttttmmmmaaaarrrrreeee? Cannot seem to find it anywhere but this was fun to remember the guy and see Craig Werth and Hotel Balderdash. Memories!
I thought I remembered Fireman Frank and Hotel Balderdash, but now I realize I just remember the names. Sad.....
The only thing I remember from H.B. was the morning that my 2nd grade girlfriend was in the audience. I saw her on TV, and I distinctly remember she was wearing a turquoise sweater.
I was on Hotel Balderdash back in '76. They had a little dog that would howl with them when they sang happy birthday. They had a contest to name the dog. I won the dog, a dog house and a years supply of kibble.
I didn't even realize HB was a local Utah show until the internet came along. I remember listening to a record of songs from the show as a kid--still remember a lot of lyrics--but I haven't seen much out there on them.
And that's where that "and many more, on Channel 4" comes from? Makes sense. So is that something only done where Hotel Balderdash was shown? A local Utah regionalism? Is that where I picked up singing Happy Birthday off-key too?
I remember Hotel Balderdash very well! I loved the way they would "sing" (really off-tune and obnoxious) happy birthdy. They always ended it with "And many more, on Channel 4, forever more!" I'd love to see more clips from this show. It was great!
WOW! I was a huge fan of Hotel Balderdash back in the day. Harvey was my favorite and Cannonball was a close second. Never was a Raymond fan though. Had a chance to meet them at Sears in Ogden, UT when I was a little kid at a meet-and-greet.

The all new Hotel Balderdash Show is being syndicated to local TV stations nationwide now. It is a Family Show for kids of all ages.

Craig Wirth did the best bits on SLC TV- Seeing he still has the stuff makes me sick at what TV has become.

I wonder if any of the old intros to Nightmare Theater still exist anywhere. I tend to doubt it but I would LOVE too see one of those again.

Just listen to Dark Side Of The Moon. It was the song, not the visuals.

I remember when my friend won a Harvey bag. When they announced his name we were all talking about it at school that day.

Thanks for the great memories Craig!
I loved Hotel Balderdash while I was an elementary-school kid in the 1970s. This was heart-warming.
