  • Omar should have killed that Andy Krawczyk piece of shit when he had the chance. He was the real gangster.

  • carcetti is a dick..hated the character..but nick was class he should of been in it more

  • nick sobotka was def one of my fav characters in the whole show, i can relate to him the most of anybody else.

  • Good ol' Nick Sobotka- now theres a man who knows a great set of breasts when he sees them...

  • also other than bubbles none of the other characters were 'snitches'. That attitude is what gets people killed, not that I don't get why they were killed. but just cause snitching aint the thing that everyone in the game does dont make it wrong. The Wire shows each side of the story and shows how they all contribute to the problem. Fuck the hustlers, fuck the hoppers, fuck the fiends, fuck the po-lice, fuck the snitches but most of all fuck you

  • wow, i missed him on this episode...

  • Why was Nick arrested?

  • You can almost hear the ghost of Nick's uncle on the sea breeze:

"You know what the trouble is? We used to make shit in this country, BUILD shit...now we just put our hands in the next guy's pocket"

  • @tamkukushka I don't look at it just like that. We followed Nick in Season 2 and followed all the shit he went through, what his family went through, he is someone to the viewers but he is just completely dismissed as no one, just another one of millions in the city of Baltimore

  • Carcetti's assistants words at the end work on so many levels.God damn I love this show

  • Yep, because the Unions were charming and honest people, well deserving of a big public subsidy (which they were buying with lobbyists themselves), to prop up an unsustainable industry. Waterfront unions embody corruption.

  • @TheBatTang So does the Federal Government.

  • the working man doesn't matter to politicians, they only care about voters and lobbyists

  • @Song4Alex Politicians only care about getting elected.

  • yeah, I agree totally with Rory 123 alluding to Bodie being a 1%er that can hold his mud when it comes to rolling on your fall partners in a squeeze. Bubbles on the other hand represents the Judas ilk and cops even have no respect for these weak punks but use them until they milk them dry and then toss them to the wolves. Hollywood (the reel world) makes characters like Bubbles look cool but in (the real world) he might last for a minute until somebody sees his work and then adios MF

  • @Rory123654 Gracias Miguel

  • @Rory123654 160 degrees? classic

  • i wanted to see ziggy after season 2 aswell

  • I love how people say ""No Snitchin'" because that's how you get killed." Yeah, right. Like some moron asshole thug from the hood is gonna find you if you enter Witness Protection and change your fucking name, your location, etc, etc. People just say that to justify their own bullshit.

  • @Notebookwriter1 i hear you, trust me i do. And i've had family killed and i witnessed my nigga gettin' blown infront of me. Yes, there is NO snitchin', like the wire always says "the game is the game, right?" not sayin' he died in vein cause the nigga that did it restin in a cemetary but you just can't say it. Trust me i thought in my own little head about "what would happen if i just tell on him" but who doesn't in that situation? i'm bein 100%. but you cut that shit out cause you just pissed.

  • @hiphopheadism

"i witnessed my nigga gettin' blown infront of me. "

    Gay.

  • That nobody is the only person who can lead them to the Greek. The politicians are fools.

  • @cbhitman1 thats exactly what i thought lol :) ...

  • They mention mayors Schmoke (88-99) and O'Malley (99-07) here. I wonder what the timeline in the world of the show is....given that Royce was a 2-term incumbent defeated in 2006. He'd have been there from '98-'06. A nitpick I realize, but for a show that prides itself on reality......interesting to think about.

  • @mywaydimag Well the show was supposed to be present-day time, so yea they messed up continuity a little bit. Maybe they're implying that Schmoke and O'malley only had 1 term each.

  • Good ass show. Bring back a character and have him curse out the mayor for 10 seconds and it gets 9,000 views on youtube.

  • 0:07 - "Mayor Schmoke"?

  • That nobody puts spot light on them assholes.

  • if nick was out of witness protection and the Greeks had returned to Baltimore, how the hell is Nick still breathing? He's one of the few who know who they are what they did

  • @cbhitman1 : If you remember in the season 2 finale, Vondas clearly said to The Greek that he doesn't think Nicky will harm them no matter how much he knows or tells. Simply because their names are not their real names. So he's no danger to them. Plus, at this time, 5 years had passed since the incident on the docks. That was 2003, and this is 2008.

  • @cbhitman1 Remember the Greek called off the hit, because there wasn't any point to it. What was done was done, and they were able to skip town undetected. You don't always have to kill to get your point across. Nick was already finished, so why kill him?

  • Ziggy was stupid

season 2 could have had more scenes with Prop Joe hookin up with the Greeks but whatever, whole fucking series was wicked.

    i fuckin hate Marlo however.

  • A bit of trivia, D'elassandro who Carcetti mentions at the very beginning (cut off a little) was the mayor of Baltimore and is Nancy Pelosi's brother.

  • i like the scene with omar at the end. but you would think they would have checked the basement first....

  • man the shit isnt real and murder isnt cool grow the fuck up

  • @youngboyp

People roll on people all the time. Murder isn't "cool" it is sometimes necessary in order to send the messege to SNITCHES that if they play the game the way they do...then they gunna get got.

  • @Rory123654 You're a fucking idiot and the whole point of The Wire has obviously flown over your head.

  • @Eradicus Again, people roll on people all the time. There are lots and lots of "Bubbles" and "Nickys" roaming the streets. If you grew up in the drug game then there's rules that need to be followed. 1) NO SNITCHING. If you get caught then be a man and take the beef. Don't cry about it and bring down your whole crew. That's all i'm trying to get across. And that's the point i got from this movie. 4 example, if you sold drugs to a Nicky type...you wouldn't take care of it?....

  • @Rory123654 "Snitches end up in ditches" was all I heard growing up lol. I say all the time now jokingly but it is true.

  • @Rory123654 : Bubbles wasn't really "in the game though" Bubbles provided information on criminals to Kima for money, and he survived. Bubbles was just a dope fiend, but fixed up his act. Don't be ragging on him, and can you blame Nicky? His uncle got killed by The Greeks. He got really pissed, and wanted to exact revenge. You can never say how your going to react to a family member of yours getting killed. If you say "I WON'T SNITCH!" your bullshitting me. You never know until it happens.

  • @Notebookwriter1:Bubbles bought drugs. He snitched so he can buy more drugs.(Please correct me if i'm wrong)But according to your philoshophy if a dope fiend (who tells on people) fixes their act no1 should call them what they are, a snitch. As far as Nicky's uncle(Frank) getting clipped...if he would have shown loyalty like the "GREEKS" asked for... he would still be breathing. Orlando,Nicky,Frank,D'Angelo, and Bubbles all showed their true color"If U can't do the time don't do the crime" right?

  • @Rory123654 : Yeah, Bubbles fixed up his act anyway, and is now supposedly going to live a clean life from now on when it comes to The Wire Universe. YOU can't deny that Nickey, Frank, and D'angelo were all victims of bad things going on around them. D'Angelo would have done his time, and when it comes to Frank, yes he got killed, but Nicky didn't. Vondas even clearly said "he's no threat to us." in episode 12 of Season 2 I believe. I don't see why you have such hostility towards these characters

  • @Notebookwriter1 Well my philosophy is 160 degrees from yours... i don't feel sorry for any snitch.D was doin his time like a soldier until he asked Stinger Bell... "where's Wallace at?" Set his own death sentence with his mouth on that one. Frank and Nicky couldn't harm "the Greeks" because they maintained operational security by being known as "the Greeks". Bodie was a soldier till the end. He wanted to be sure that when he was barried...people could call him a man. i got respect for him.V

  • @Rory123654 180 degrees you mean. Anyways Bodie was about to talk to the police too, so by your philosophy...

  • @drktigger; Bodie neva snitched but putting a snitch jacket on somebody is tantamount to being a snitch. i know the cops wanted him to snitch. i'm going to check season 5 out right now and continue with my debate. V

  • @Rory123654 I don't think the same way you do about "snitches" anyway, and you're right Bodie never did snitch. The fact is though, he was definitely about to. Just look up "bodie mcnulty" and watch the clip at the top and listen to what Bodie says about Marlo.

  • @drktigger;if i was marlo i would put a bullett in bodie's head just in case.i know it looked bad when bodie accepted the ride for lunch. so thats that but u can't say he was gunna do anything. Look i can say Milla Kunis was gunna give me her hott pussy this weekend...i had blue steele...but she said she don't eat baby food. :(

  • @Rory123654 Yeah I understand perfectly well what Marlo was thinking. I'm saying when Bodie was talking to McNulty, he said specifically that he won't snitch on any of Barksdale's people or anyone on his corner, but Marlo and his kind has to fall. McNulty then says for that to happen someone has to step up, and Bodie just says "I'll do what I gotta. I don't give a fuck. Just don't ask me to live on my fucking knees." I just don't see how that doesn't mean what I think it means.

  • I feel sorry for Nick, he's a good guy and he dont deserve all that shit, he's had a lot already, he's one of my most favourite characters.

P.S The Wire, greatest show on this planet.

  • Poor Nick. The guy's gone through alot...

  • Nicky looked way better is season 2. Maybe it the haircut here, but in season 2 he was cute.

  • Damn, that guy has a shitty life.

His cousin is in jail for murder-probably someone's bitch by now, and his uncle was executed, and now they took his job!!!!!

  • dey took err jeeeeeebs!

  • GOO people! HAHA what an episode that was

  • Oh wow Nicky looks quite different here...I have only watched till the season 2, its a shame they dont have the whole serie to show it here in Mexico cuz I love it, Six feet under and The Wire are the most 2 awesome fave series ever!

  • yeah season 2s good but my favourite is season 4 coner boys

  • Nicky !!!

  • "Mayor Schmoke"? Was he from Amschterdam?

  • "Nobody Mr Mayor... nobody at all"

    Poignant.

  • @DHAR3070 That right there shows how the politicians really feel about the people. He was just "nobody." Yet, he's the one who could cripple the entire Baltimore City drug culture, little do they know...

  • Season 2 was great. The Sabotka's were the shit!

  • look at the camera guy his name is wildchild hes a a stripper in baltimore maryland the one with the dreads ladies check him out

  • Nice touch to put him, Little Big Roy and Nat in the last season. Would have liked to have seen what happened to Ziggy in prison.

And it does seem like the poor Sobotka family can't catch a break.

  • Ziggy Sobotka's probably the cell punk.

  • Never thought I would see him again. I really liked that character. Him and his uncle. A truly sad story all around.

  • season 2 was a masterpiece!

  • Yeah season two was great, Nick and Ziggy were two of the best character on The Wire in my opinion.

  • Yes I agree, but I would also add Spiros Vondas to the best list ;)

  • @LaSoldat Nick yes Ziggy No

  • @jacklong529 Ziggy was an incredible character. Guess the subtleties of the show flew over your head, though.

  • @ASHBOX86 Don't understand why S2 got criticized. It was unbelievable.

  • Damn Nick Sobotka can never catch a break.

  • Great seeing Nick back on The Wire (even though it was brief). I wondered what happened to him after he skipped out on the Feds.

  • David Simon said that he left the witness proection program because he missed his family and friends. Said it happens to a lot of people who enter the program.

  • I was wondering what happened to Nick after season 2.
