what do you use to get your horses in such a lovely frame while flatting? i ride my greeny with a running martingale which helps get his head down, but he doesn't look nearly as great as your horses!

The only thing that's really going to help is lots of flatwork and lessons with a good dressage trainer. Gadgets like draw reins, chambons, gogues, etc. will create the look of dressage, but it's not really the same thing, just a cheap shortcut to a "frame" that creates a backwards horse. I completely agree with you. Side reins don't fall under the "gadget" category for me because they don't use leverage, it's just a simulation of perfect hands. I love side reins, personally. =D

heey, its soo annoying not being able to ride :( i went to a show ma pony tripped over the fence n i came off broke ma collar bone pulled a ligament in my shoulder and pulled all the muscles down one sid eof my neck :( it hurt :( but im back on and riding now :) it only took 6 weeks to heal but now hes being a menice and going completely bonkers!! oh well, just more and more work needed i guess :( took a year and a half to get him nice :L beautiful horse btw, im jealous, great riding too xx
