Yes, the RVs have good power but we fly early in the day, before the winds build. Also, before we make the mountain "close" fly-bys we check for bumps and crazy winds. It is not fun if the winds are bad.
Ah! Good to know. I really want to try some mountain flying but I don't think this chicken is ready to hang out with the eagles yet. I need to get a mountain flying class under my rookie belt.

I'm a chicken and I leave a lot of room between me and the mountains. Then again my 172 doesn't have the power your plane has.
