I then said if your over can my other snake come out of its cage? She replyed with your getting to fucking snakes ! I said i already have one ? She didnt reply until 10 minutes later (Shes a Blonde).Oh babe yea your snake can play with me anytime im over .
A real pity forcing such a beautiful predator to eat like a scavenger just because your human sensibilities don't like feeding live. It's not human, it didn't ask to be with you, it's a predator - you owe it to the thing to let it have the closest thing to a predatory life as it can have in captivity. Dead-feeding predatory reptiles is abusive, imo, and you have no business owning them if you can't respect their nature.
@ZachariasLePuertre First thing, snakes scavenge in the wild all the time. By choice. Second, he's not forcing anything. The snake took it quite happily. Lastly, feeding live prey can be dangerous to the snake... They weren't born and raised for wild feeding when in captivity. They would just get hurt... And they often do. Maybe some chump gets lucky and the snake doesn't get injured... Good for him. But more often then not, at some point, the prey will bite back.
that snake could eat a baby rat you can hurt the snake if the pray is to small i have two balls and the baby spider ball eats mice your snake will grow faster if the food is bigger
@sonyboy696 I just want to let you know how very epically wrong you are. I have way more animals than you and have been doing this for significantly longer. the rule of thumb in terms of feeding snakes is, the food item should not be any larger than 2x the girth of the snake (the widest part) Had I fed that animal, the snake: radius of a penny or less a baby rat: radius= slightly larger than a silver dollar, it would have literally exploded. Fact of the matter is, green tree pythons, cont...
specifically green tree pythons must eat rather small food items due to their fragile bone structure due to their inherently inordinate or long (which ever you may understand) post natal development. Something you obviously wouldn't know seeing as your the cool guy with only two ball pythons, which is a HUUUGE deal to you as evidence provides. At any rate, please don't go 'round misinforming people, especially in regard to things that are a matter of life or death for these animals
@sonyboy696 oh and just out of curiosity, how do you figure that anything too small for a snake to eat will do it harm? I want you to really use your brain for a sec, don't hurt yourself though. There is no way that an animal that has evolved to eat massive food items, would be even slightly fazed by something small. Think, are m&m's more dangerous to humans than steak? pretty sure i just get less with the m&m's.
Really really stupid music for an itty bitty snake eating a dead pinky mouse. Nonetheless, the guy knows tree python care, and explains it (other vids) very well.
@SuperJeedee its not cruel u Fuck its life wake the fuck up its a goddamn feeder rat/mouse ya i get it its still a life but if u had to pick which one to kill a human whos never seen the outside of a box or a person of the same age whos gota a life so feeder rat or go out and get one because thats what the snake would do if the monkeys didnt have them in boxes
fuck i hate ur argument im just sooo sick or u guilt pushing rat lovers if u gave a fuck ud do something about it instead
@kandixcorpse , read the line #5... i dont have problem with this.... but.. this is the manner u made ur video to show '' how you feed ur pet ''.... who disturbs me...
@SuperJeedee Yes there is a great difference between a jerk giving a helpless pinky to a bearded dragon (something I can't stand), and a viper hunting a rat in the wild. However, that doesn't mean you can't feed your snake and then upload it to YouTube, it's a good and educational way to show other people how a snake would hunt a live prey in nature, and to share your experience with others.
@pythontricker Why so angry? What I meant was a LIVE pinky to a bearded dragon. You the other hand feed your snake dead pinkies, which is very different. By the way I was supporting you by saying that this is a good and educational way to show other people how an animal would hunt a live prey in the wild. I have reptiles myself and I obviously also to feed them! Anyway, you have beautiful GTP...
im 17 and jus got a tiny biak baby and cant get it to feed,i work with hots and know how to force feed but its sooooo tiney i dont want to hurt it,any info ive been working with reptiles since i could walk literally.any advice? ive mainly worked with retics and not used to such a tiney snake
@xxcmoney ya if your younger than 16 and dont have at least 2 years of experience... in other words they are not a good starter snake you might want to think of getting a corn snake instead and dont get one until your at least 12
Ha nice GTP i have a red biak GTP. And GTPs can be aggressive but if you handle them enough they will get use to you. I kick it with my GTP all the time he only bites wen my dogs are around.
These snakes have a bad reputation. I have heard so many people say they are mean. I have had up to nine snakes and havent been bit. Struck at is a different story.
It all comes down to the snake itself. My coastal carpets are HUGE babies. But my ball python, she's only held by two people. She has struck at me, and bit my boyfriend. I should have my GTP in two weeks. 200 bucks for it. Out of a pet store. I only go to this dude, because he knows his snakes.
for a first snake they would be kind of bad they do need a lot of work and to tame them is also hard because their species is known to be aggresive but a nice first snake would be like a kingsnake or garter snake
snakes are like people some times the very very odd ball python can be aggressive. are they more aggressive then a ball python on average i would say yes. but again ive seen people with gtp that were big sucks like a ball python and as friendly as can be. some times you get one that just doesnt like people. for gtp ive read that the biak type is the most likely to bite. but i think there also the coolest looking, some of them look like digital camofluage but in yellow and green,
you should just warm up the mice then put it in a small dish then your snake will sense it via body heat and just eat it. no need to dangle it infront of him.
why would i do that. its easier and i don't have to worry about my snake hitting its nose on the plate. and it won't eat anything that isn't moving. plus these animals feed in the trees. everything that they eat is either dangling or flying.
i totally agree. in this horribly cruel pet store, ther was an amazon tree boa and it was at the top of a stick and the people just dropped a mouse on the bottom and the snake didnt even see it or act interested.
no it isn't venomous, but the thing is, these are very difficult to care for if you have no prior knowledge of snakes. Hi, I got a 16 years old son and man you're 3 times more responsible than he is. I just can't believe how good you take care of your snakes and Iggi and the frog and the turtle... I do have a job, its off and on though. I bring my reptiles to children's birthdays and little get togethers and "expo" them. @SuperJeedee
How is feeding a snake a pre-killed mouse cruel? Normally you get that on videos where the mouse was still alive.
This is in no way cruel, feeding a pet is not cruel. Taking care of a pet is not cruel.
The only thing that isn't needed are your comments.
Grow up.

no it isn't venomous, but the thing is, these are very difficult to care for if you have no prior knowledge of snakes. It needs a constant humidity of 55-65% and the temperature must be at least 85 degrees. they can be aggressive and theses snakes do have the largest teeth to body size ratio of any python. When they are juveniles, their bones are very fragile and can be broken very easily when handling. as they grow older this is not an issue but you must still be careful when handling.
