Why do you think the Amperage matter in this project, it doesn't. Light bulbs don't usually need high current to work, if you use 12Vs thats pretty much what it will take to make a couple of bulbs will light up. What you made is a "dim" switch, its neat you're using the 555, but the way this setting up was done, it's pretty much dangerous. LOOK, there's my earth cable, now let me put this on while I hold on the end of the cable. Have a good one, tho !
That's really impressive - I'm a bedini ssg experimenter and know that the wheel forms a part of timing that the 555 timer can produce / reciprocate. I have not tried the 555 yet and appreciate your work on this youtube. Keep it up, your other youtubes are definitely work a watch to all who watch this. xx
No clue what frequency your pulsing is running at? From what Tesla said the faster the better. There's an interesting paper by Zaev N.E. called "Inductive conversion of heat environmental energy to electrical energy" from New Energy Technologies, Issue 1, p.40 which indicates that the initial energy intensity rapidly expands before dropping off and leveling out. Look it up if you can.
Hey bro. We really should start measuring the foot-candle output from the bulbs as we go. It would be great to be able to examine that dependent variable as we tweak our circuits. Get an analog one from a local hydroponics shop. My basic imhotep replication was about 1/3 the strength of the same bulb powered by mains.
Crack, You are right about the light output of the modified CFl. Imhotep originally designed this as a simple emergency light that was easy to build. The beauty of the design that he and Dr. Peter Lindemann put forth was that this light recovered some of the energy into another battery. That made it different.
Hey congratulations on your first 555-based circuit! In your design you are kind of emulating the self-oscillator setup with the high frequency oscillations and trimming the base resistor.
The other approach that I discussed would eliminate the big rheostat and the transistor would not really get hot and there would be no trim on the base resistor. But that's for another day if you want to go there.
2 CFL'S RUNNING 100 mA WOW

You had a video where light bulb was running on solar panel whitch was 2W! You are gettin overunity in Lumens (light) or what?

I wish that this thing made energy but it doesn't. It just uses what it gets very efficiently.

Hi Lid, I just love the blind mans tuning method lol.Great work man.

I just like listening to it sing. I keep telling it," If you will just hum a few bars I'll....." LOL

Bask in the glory of doing your first 555 design!
