It sucks that Tony Jay died. His voice is one of the things that made the elder god so awesome. Plus reboot was a big part of my child hood so seeing this brings up some cool memories. Megabyte and EG were truly epic characters. Much like their voice actor. RIP dude, RIP.

I saw the Soul Reaver trailer on my Gex 3 game some years ago. I liked it, only the Sanctus Christus song was a bit creepy for me(keep that in mind), then I was once walking around and I saw the Soul Reaver game in a shop. I wanted to buy it, but cus the SC song was scary, I didnt buy it. GOD DAMN IT!!! But I was like 8 or 9 at that time. And after all this I see now what I missed over the years. But what can you do bout it? Its over now.

That's never confirmed or disproved for certain. We do know the Elder God is capable of resurrecting people (see: Moebius), but whether he did so for Raziel or just happened to be there and found it convenient is unknown.

Raziel definitely had his own clan (he specifically mentions it when he returns to the material realm for the first time), but we don't ever see them - they (theoretically) escaped the worst of the transformations since that all came after Raziel was thrown into the Abyss.

Why did Kain have Raziel thrown into the Abyss?

Kain deduced that Raziel was the prophesied Vampire hero/messiah and that his temporary destruction would ultimately lead to Kain s claiming his own destiny as the Scion of Balance. Though at that time he was still unsure of how it would play out.

Kain had understood enough of the Vampire prophecy to see the roles that he and Raziel would play, including the necessity of casting him into the Abyss.
