I like this game but I played it on All Stars. It was the hardest Mario I played plus I played it as Luigi. But there's that Save feature that makes you restart at the beginning of the World so it's cool, though I had to restart each world several amounts of time especially for last stages lol

Great review despite I disagree with the rating. I love this game, or at least the All-Stars port of it. I love this game because it is pretty much the only really hard Mario game there is. I mean, Mario 64 did have some challenges, but there has never been a Mario game as difficult as Lost Levels or SMB2 or whatever you want to call it.

Also, I find it much easier to play as Luigi because of how much higher he jumps

I am going against the world for saying this but as tricky as some jumps are, and as much as it abuses invisible blocks, this game is fairly manageable (although I give you that accesing the hidden worlds was HELL; thank god they fixed that in the SNES version).

BUT I don´t get how this game is considered the work of satan by the same people who don´t have a problem with HD Sonic Unleashed or DKC Returns which are heavily based on memorization and cheap deaths to the point I cannot stand them.

Funny review, As many times as I yell at the TV because of this game, I do enjoy it. Technically it IS improved over SMB1 with the Bros. playing differently and other unnoticable tweaks, but this is without a doubt one of the hardest games you'll ever play! And when it comes to the All-Stars Port I beat it, I beat ALL the levels World 1 - C. So if you have sometime get this game and see if you can beat it in 8-bits.
