Do you think this is better than the ac5? I think been a hard case would make it difficult to carry, store and configure when combined with umbrellas, softboxes... let us know your results please. Thanks for sharing

This is definitely better than the AC5 if used on a monopod or light stand. The Ac7 has 1/4"-20 inserts for 1/4"-20 mounts that can be used on brackets and there's also an umbrella holder as well. The reason this unit has an open back is because of the easy access to the controls as well as the power port on the side.
So far so good with range. I'll be doing a follow up video showing the equipment in use.
