  • It was fascinating to see this video as my father was the engineer on this boat and its predecessor, the Niagara, for over 30 years! We were all together in May 1999 to see it sunk. My dad is gone now, but its nice to think that the place he spent so much time is still here.

  • i just went there this w-e and maximum depth was at 105-110f the cabin is at 60-70

really nice wreck and really fun to explore if you got wreck dive specialization

water was 55f at surface and 41-43f under the thermocline (70feet)

    i was in a dry suit with a 120cu f nitrox 33% bottom time near 40min

  • I love Tobermory. I've been there many times and I've never hated my weekend. I never dove the Niagara II before and i SOOOOO WANT TO!!! Thing is I'm wondering what depth the bottom of boat is (I'm Junior Advanced Open Water Diver and Deep Diver (limit is 70 ft.))

  • We dived this last weekend with Tobermory Aqua Sports. Captain Tracy was wonderful at the tiller of the Teak Bay. Not as cold as we were told. Stayed at teh Blue Bay Motel and THAT was wonderful. Ate at Craigies, good food and service. Ate at teh Lighthouse Restaurant, good there too. All around good time and people in Toby, we'll be back.

  • I dove this wreck today. Not quite so cold from this angle though!

  • what was your bottom ? time and were you using twin 15's on that dive ?

    cheers mate

  • I love to dive this wreck! Fabulous video!
