There is not enough manga material yet for a 2nd season of HOTD. Given the popularity of the 1st season we will be seeing a 2nd. But it could be next year for all we know. The manga is bimonthly and they are released relatively slow so we have to play the waiting game now. However, according to Mangaoh, an OVA of HOTD will be bundled with the manga volume 7. The 20 min extra episode is called "Drifters of the Dead". To be released next spring.
