in the late 1968s Eddie Kendricks was uncomfortable with singing the psychedelic style that Whitfield was now crafting , (such as the Grammy winner "Cloud Nine" (1968), "I Can't Get Next to You" (1969), and "Ball of Confusion) for the group as opposed to the"I'll Be in Trouble" (,"The Girl's Alright With Me" "Girl (Why You Wanna Make Me Blue)" "Get Ready" Just My Imagination" "You're My Everything He quit in1971
i'm wondering the same thing myself! billie bass with with them too, and i can't see behind dennis edwards! <-----i was in his car when it was wrecked!
@e37a Note: Eddie and Billy wrote the song did the session, however I was the drummer for the tempt's at that time. 1976-76, and the Bass player and guitar player were other cats.
I love watching vintage temp footage. No matter how tragic their personal stories seem (from the made for television shows) I truly believe that they did get some really great enjoyment spreading their great sound, displaying their moves and boundless energy.
I do not think that you can be too tragic if you can stand in front of audiences of people all over the world and left them clapping!
dont you classic five lovers get your draws tight, but that boy dennis really brings the funk! I am not saying david couldn!t bring funk or ali woodson, because the producers didn!t take the group in that direction.
I believe in the 70's they were being coreographed by Lon Fontaine. Cholly worked with them again in the 80's up until his death. Lon, who died recently, actually did the coreography for a bunch of the songs in their show now, like How Sweet It Is, and Can I get A Witness, From the 2006 Reflections Album.
This is a professional performance look at ho whard they work. the temptations what a group.

Looks like Lon Fontaine choreography. He spread them out on the stage and had them do those big moves like that, JMO!
