I once went to a doctor who gave me glycolic treatment. But after the treatment i became acne-prone. I would get pimples from the sunblock and even just oral vitamin C. The thing is, i dont get acne from sunblock before i took the glycolic peel. Does anyone have desame case as mine? tnx
it does not work, so please don't bother to try it unless you have money and time to spend, and then get sad it didn't work, just as a little tip, please make review of products you have tried before, almay had a great peel called blemish controller with a 2% sacylic acid you could leave on, but they stopped making them, now I have yet to find a good over the counter peel that works, but I'm considering visiting a Dermatologist in order to get a peeling with higher concentrations that works
@CasualLuxuries No.....I use the MD Formulations professional peel. But you can only buy it if you are a licensed esthetician. I've never used Dr. Dennis...how is it???
Have you tried Microdermabrasion or Diamond Peel? Or applying Olay total effects plus hydroquinone plus kojic acid plus glycolic acid creams??? Are they effective in removing acne scars? I need an opinion. Thanks in advance.
I love microderm. It's great for scarring. But you must be sure to go to someone who knows what they are doing. Do your research before you go to someone. The same applies with a diamond Peel.
I just got a great glycolic peel from skinmedica. It was very intense (my skin peeled for five days), but it was great!!! I LOVE peels.....
I've used it! It doesn't do anything. The main exfoliating thing in it is the salicylic acid 2%, and that gets washed off before it can do anything. As an alternative try the Neutrogena Acne Stress Control 3 in 1. It has salicylic acid 2% too but it's a moisturizer so it's left on the whole day
when I had a peel done recently, i was told that i had to wear a sunscreen during the day to protect my sking. Unfortunately all the sunscreens I have used (neutrogena sun screen) leave a white film on my dark skin making my face look weird. Do you have any suggestions on any not-too expensive sun screen cream that will work well with dark skin. thanks!!!
Enzymes come from fruit...usually papaya, not animals....but I'm not totally sure about Neutrogena being a vegan company. I'm sure they test on animals
I have tried this and it really does work!! The packaging says to use it once a week but I use it more than that and it really does make all of your acne scars get lighter and removes discoloration. It took me about a 1-2 weeks before I noticed the dramatic change in my skin (but I was using it about 4-5 times a week) It did however leave my skin a little dry, but it was totally worth it (I just ended up moisturing more often than before). I would definately recommend this to anyone!!
Glycolic Acid is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid, a topical exfoliant. Fading acne scars is a challenge. For fading we most often turn to Hydroquinone. I am currently enjoying my first tube of Obaji Clear 4% Hydroquinone to fade the sun damage visible on my forearms. This prescription product could be dotted onto acne scars. There is a stronger (8%) version as well. Over the Counter Hydoquinone products are only 2% in strength. Even Hydroquinone will not fade permanently.
alot of people are very sensitive to Hydroquinone, which is why I don't recommend it. Also, it is not permanent. As soon as you stop using it, the darkness comes back. also, you need to wear sunscreen religiously, or the sun will cause hypersensitivity. In my opinion, glycolic is much more effective and is clinically proven to work long-term...
You are to fine thx for the vid

@cdrum30 I personally haven't tried it but it has amazing raves about it so I figured it would be a great alternative to MD Formulations.

Okay. You see I started having acne breakouts once I stopped using Olay Total Effects and switch it with Mary Kay Timewise 3 in 1 cleanser.
