I do not have insight to answer this question. But i know that any good christian is to deny itself by keeping away from lust and sins etc. Maybe jw manage to deny theire wish for making sins. So they do sin, but less then the avrage prosent, or whatever you would call it. But i would imagine any jw to be scared to death comitting a sin.
Hello - I have a question, what are the Jehovah's witness beliefs & morals when it comes to family values? Honouring thy mother & father? The reason why I ask this is because I come from a family of 4 brothers, me whom am not invloved in this religion, my oldest brother whom is no longer invloved my older brother whom is very strong with it as so is my younger brother. Guess which one of us as practically foresaken his parents - with no reason to & never visits or rings unless he wants something?
It's kind of funny how people take what they want from Jesus' teachings. For instance here, if my parents were JWs and wanted me to stay a JW I would hear the verse about honoring thy father and mother, if they weren't JWs then I would hear about Jesus saying to forsake your family for your brothers. That was another teaching of his. JWs say they're more moral in everything, including family values, like every other religion out there :)
Do witnesses claim to be more moral than any other religion? Or do they just teach to try and uphold morality to bible standards and have concequences for not following what you promised to do?
Morality isn't defined by what religion you are associated with. Each person is responsible for their own moral actions. I do believe morality is upheld to the best possible ability by the witnesses. Why? Becaues if a moral issue is discovered, it is delt with with harsh concequences. If you don't want to change your moral lifestyle, you will be removed. As harsh as that sounds, the decision is yours. Every religion teaches morality, but witnesses for the most part are known for theirs.
That is not exactly true, and I can cite numerous examples of people who were witnesses doing some pretty debase things and not being dealt with harshly.
Exactly my point. No religion can MAKE you moral or make you be a better than somebody just because you claim to be part of a religion. The bible...not just the witnesses says to honor your father and your mother...whether your catholic, protestant or any other religion that uses the bible as their teaching tool...if you don't follow that command to honor you father and mother, you are thus breaking that command. Every religion would teach this. Not every person will follow it though sadly..
Which is what every religion says "our religion is more moral because we follow the bible closer", which in reality they're just following their interpretation which they feel is closer to the bible than any other religion. It's all interpretation of the scriptures. Case and point, honoring your father and mother, what does JW teaching say if your parents oppose you becoming a JW? Do they say to honor it or break that commandment?
I don't think its an arguement that because I'm a certain religion, i'm more moral than you. I do know that witnesses for the most part try to live a very moral lifestyle. There are probably many people from other denominations that live clean moral lifestyles..maybe even better morals. And thats great. I just know witnesses are widely condemned for there ways of dealing with someone living an immoral lifestyle. A continous immoral lifestyle will no go unchecked if found.
Where does God say to become a certain religion? He says to follow his word and that's all. Who should you listen to a magazine or your parents, I guess it would be who you respect more.
You might want to look up the names Robert Souter, Fred McClean, Eunice Spry, or Silent Lambs. You'll find law enforcement was the only check that brought justice about for their victims.
I'm not exactly sure the point you are trying to make with these people...please clarify. As i said before, just because you make a claim to a certain religion doesn't mean you are morally clean. If its found you have done something immoral, you will be delt with
The point with these people is that despite you saying that if you're found having done something immoral you will be dealt with this is not the case. These are only a few examples of such. Basically the JWs don't clean out their hall as much as you say they do. You might want to look up Leo Greenlees as well.
So all the people you mentioned were disfellowshipped...except the last one who was removed from his position....not disfellowshipped because allegations weren't proven. But he was removed not the less. Pretty good clean up session once found out i think!
Well Robert Souter is currently a Ministerial Servant, Fred McClean after molesting several children was still a ministerial servent, Eunice Spry is still a JW in prison.
By all means check them, you'll find the same thing I did. It wasn't until they were outed publically in the news that they were even dealt with. Check out Timothy Gardner as well, he is still in the congregation and in good standing even though he's a convicted child molester, I know because I had been to his congregation with him in attendance.
So they were dealt with then. Once the allegations were proven. There are witnesses who were formally murderers drug dealers,prostitutes...you name it. Its not up for them to decide whether you're "worthy" of bing a witness because of past sins. Anybody can turn their life around and become a witness its just you have to hold up your end of the bargain of living a clean lifestyle and by bible standards or you will be removed.
Again read there stories, there were numerous witnesses to their crimes, yet the only way they got dealt with was when someone finally went to the police. Which allowed enough time for more victims.
Ok, so you suceeded in finding a few examples of wicked people even in the organization of Jehovah's witnesses. Your point though is what? As a whole witnesses don't have harsh punishment for not following moral guidelines set in the bible? Cause I can find you a whole lot more examples of ex witnesses who are PISSED that the rules are so harsh! I was raised a witness but no longer attend. I respect their beliefts just its not for me at this time. So i know what goes on.
I take the time to respond to some of these types of videos cause #1 i kinda like a good arguement and #2 so people can actually see the truth of what the wintesses actually believe. They aren't a cult. They come to your door with a bible, saying it says things are going to get better in the world. It could be worse! Instead of a bible it could be a person with a ski mask and a gun looking to talk about your future! If the religion is not for you, why not just move on? Instead of slamming it?
Well why do I do the videos is answered in my first video. The ski mask and gun thing is just an appeal to fear. I made a set of videos regarding the cult thing to try and educate people on what is and isn't a cult as I feel JWs are called a cult alot more than they need to be. As for the few examples, it's more than a few and it's simply to show that JWs aren't more moral than other religions, the same stuff occurs in their organization that occurs in every other organization.
My point of ski mask and gun is there could be a person showing up at your door with worse intentions than directing you to the bible! If you're not interested in religion, just say so! Why do people get so upset? I don't like all the commercials i see on tv about products i don't want but you don't see me starting hate vids about how much commercials suck! Who's more morals,JW or another religion,WHO CARES?! You answer for your own morality regardless of what religion you call yourself!
Some wouldn't agree with you, have you taken a look at Silent Lambs yet. You know that you never do find out why someone was disfellowshipped. Maybe leaving your child with a former child molester is cool with you, but it's not with me. If a group claims to be more moral than the rest of the world, is it too much to ask for proof?
Ok, fine. I'll use stats. You used the stat that 97% of the world commits a crime. Actually in the united states alone1 of every 130 people are in prison. That's not counting the ones doing community service, that paid a fine, or that got away with it. Then you say there is over 5000 cases where witnesses were charged. There are over 6,000,000 witnesses in the world. That's a percentage of 0.0834 percent that there is a child molester in your hall. Or a ratio of 1:1200.
A guy by the name of Rod Swift did a study on christians vs athiests on 100,000 inmates currently in prison. Of that 29267 or 39% were Catholic, 26162 or 35% were Protestant, 5435 or 7 percent were muslim and the JW's rolled in at a whopping 665 or 0.89%. Those are pretty decent numbers if you ask me.
OK, so what's the percentage of the world that are JWs vs other religions? What's the percentage of Christadelphians in prison? Would you say it's lower? Does that mean Christadelphians are more moral than JWs? Did you watch this video regarding molestation, the problem is far greater in the JW org than even in the Catholic church.
And what percentage of deaths in wars have the catholic religion been responsible for as opposed to JW's? This could go on forever. Its pointless. The witnesses don't come to your door to tell you how good they are. They come to show you things in the bible you might not have known about or reasoned on before. They teach from the bible. They give answers from the bible. I'm not one. I don't profess to be one. But I don't attack them to try and add meaning to my life.
That's what I'm saying in this video, it's pointless for any religious organization to say they are more moral than any other religious organization. Every Christian religion teaches from the bible. Every Christian religion gives answers from the bible. So what? Again with the ad hominem attacks, dude I've got a 17 month old daughter and do shows every weekend, I don't need to add meaning to my life, I just want to protect my daughter.
"A Fool rejoices when he discovers error. A WISE man rejoices when he discovers Truth!"
Answer me this Tim. Do you really want to find out the Truth? I'm not calling you a fool. That quote is not mine but it's a famous quote that makes a lot of sense.
Why don't you come back to the Catholic Church where you were baptized. You know you still have that indelible mark that was put there. You were given a gift, you just have to open it. No one likes to give a gift and have it not be open.
They aren't. It's an individual's relationship with jehovah personaly which will decides their morality. Being part of any club will not determine whether or not you choose love. JW's have no premise on which to say they are anything more or less than anywhere or anyone else. It is arrogance to do ANYTHING other than humbly declare our sinfulness before god. Mat 6 really clinches it. This 'blowing their own trumpet' is in direct contravention of the principles Jesus lays down there.
i finally turned the sound on to hear this whiner, and he is a babbling idiot! talking about assembly behavior, does he not know that many "new ones" to the organization came from the world with bad behavior, and poor traits? and neeeeed to be told how to act civil??? AGAIN, bringing up things of little consequence, as far as molestation, you could say anywhere it happens, sick people reside EVERYWHERE! read the paper once in awhile TIM!!!
Specific data eh? I would say that it's a strong statistical possibility that, this individual is a disgruntled excommunicated member who not only repeats the same question's phrased ever so slightly different, but who knows he has not the most minuscule inkling of changing his belief on matters, it appears he believes, JW's are a hypicritical, subversive cult! & according to his last lil gem bad parents for reading the bible to children, oh yea & advocates of child molestation, real unbiased =)
Oh you mean you won't answer the question but will give a hasty generalization leading to an ad hominem attack of the questioner. Hmm, how genuine. Is this how all JWs act when a question is asked about them, just like I said IN MY FIRST VIDEO! You truly are a fantastic defender of the faith. It's like Obama asking McCain why he wants to buy up bad mortgages then McCain calling Obama a poopie-head.
Stop making up "stats" we dont engage in false accusation, how is that for a high moral standard. The rest of the churches dont care what you do as long as you show up to pay that money on sunday. Sloppy dressed, disrespectful appearence, homosexuals, drunkards, etc.etc. just pay that money and you will be for given-aslong as the paster keeps getting that cash for the caddie payment its all good in the pegan hood. If you have a REAL question then ask. These fake littleIM mad at my mommie ones suck
The reason I do this is answered in my introduction. Please if you haven't seen it simply hit play on the top playlist, it's the first video. I'll be more than happy to send you where I got my statistics from.
yeah your info is from more people who claim to have the inside track or tough questions for the witnesses to answer. But They are almost ALWAYS disfelloshipped people. Do you think they are going to have anything good to say about us? You arnt showing any real proof just more people like you. You have a "poor me I was robbed of my childhood" complex going on here.Seek professional help, get samples but move on stop whining.Your questions are answered in gods word the bible. They arnt hard at all
Well as long as you can answer them to yourself, if you want to share the answers and help out fellows who don't have the answers as readily available please do. Maybe it will help someone. You've made your decision about the statistics, you've decided to label them as an ad hominem to discredit them before you get them. That way you don't have to deal with the facts.
Wow, this is the most sad pathetic thing I've seen, you can't even spell my name right in your insults. Tell me you are not that ignorant. But keep throwing your tantrums like a two year old, it's working out well for you. It's sure showing that meek, mild personality of those who will inherit the earth. You are very sheep like.
who cares what your name is. you will always be a nobody. you want attention. you are documenting your Apostasy. if you were meek and humble, you would not post videos trashing witnesses. you are the sad, bitter, slovenly one. grow up! get a job! and take a shower, i smell you from here!
If I were not meek and humble I wouldn't be posting questions, I would be posting my thoughts that I stated were correct. I find it funny you're telling me to grow up when you come on someone else's youtube channel to call them names, and with the above response which is effectively "Not Uh! I'm not, you are" very kindergarden.
well we dot lie and pick numbers out of the air. So how did you get into bethel to get this information? As SOON as the society learns of ANY child abuse/molestation even before that person was a witness, They would be immediately removed from a elder position. If it happened while they were a JW disfellowshipped so fast it's actually amaizing. So here's a tough question for you if our religion isnt for you THEN MOVE ON. Its obvious there is more than these weak little questions you pose.
Ok JW's have problems like the rest of the world too. Yes there are cases of nearly everything that some person who claims to be a JW has done. Again we are imperfect. But see you are wrong about how the majority of the world is PURELY moral. Sure most of the world probably doesn't like to murder or steal, but honestly Go to school and nearly every person there has had sex. I would know because I've gone to 3 different schools. Is that moral? The Bible says to wait till marriage.
But JW's have a strict rule on anything unbiblical. That's why we "disfellowship". There are more moral people in the kingdom hall than there were in my 10th grade class. In fact, there were more moral people there than there were in my entire school! Having sex before marriage is very serious to JW's. No other religion has a law like that. In fact... most religions ALLOW gay marriages, sex before marriage, and tattoos/piercings. Of COURSE JW's have problems too, but we don't ALLOW this behavior
Or I've become bored with seeing your constant ad hominem attacks, blanket statements, appeal to fear, cherry picking the evidence, and numerous other logical fallacies you so readily engage in. It's growing tedious and boring. You don't even attempt to back up even a single one of your statements with actual evidence just an attack, a blanket statement, etc. Just because you say something a bunch of times doesn't make it true.
Seriously Tim, do you have any idea how ridiculous you're making yourself appear?
People everywhere marvel at the fine behavior of Jehovah's Witnesses children in public places and to compare it evenly with other families would only result in an affirmation from parents that have the same twisted thinking, which hopefully isn't a very large percentage of the world's population... yet.
Do you think your statements appeal to the common man? Let me assure you, Christ himself would shun you.
If you're quoting a Watchtower sure they "marvel" at the behavior. From what I've seen and heard many marvel at the behavior of families shunning their own family members. Marvel at the guilt and fear provided. Argument by selective observation, you sure like only stating one side of the story eh?
"Divorce rates amongst Jehovah's Witnesses are actually a higher percentage than the rest of the world."
This is false. The current divorce rate internationally is hovering around 50 %, thanks to the eroding effect of the anglo american empire. The divorce rate among Jehovah's Witnesses is 12 %.
You should really research your figures before publicly stating things you have no idea about.
It's misrepresentations like this left uncorrected that make Witnesses view you as dishonest.
Divorce rate amongst witnesses is actually 60%. You're 12% percentage is absolute BS. Check out WTFacts . org it's on there I believe that's where I got the figure.
I am a 15 year old Jehovah's witness in Philly, and I ask others who do things similar to what you do on youtube this question, why did you leave Jehovah.
This was said in my very first video. If you clicked on my playlist and simply hit play you would find it first. Please watch that video as it explains the whole reasoning behind this series.
I'll tell you publicly why Tim claims he left. He says it's to protect his daughter, but you can see he's obviously got an ax to grind. Notice he doesn't set up websites denouncing Disneyworld for intentionally hiring pedophiles? It makes you wonder what kind of skeletons Tim has in his own closet.
Experience has taught me well that the things people squawk about are usually things they are guilty of themselves.
What are you appealing to the watchers of these videos. The final video tells you the reason I left and it doesn't mention anything about protecting my daughter since I left before she came around. I said the reason I'm doing the series is to protect my daughter and it isn't about child molestation it's so she can have answers to questions I asked. Stop scrolling to the end of the videos without watching them.
How often is a person raped or molested in front of someone? If the org. keeps it up their going to have so many class action lawsuits comming out of its ass, its going to have to sleep on its stomach at night.
And when those class action lawsuits go to trial, the same question is asked... where are the witnesses? Oh... I see... her word against his. Sorry. Case closed.
I don't write the laws. I'm just a messenger.
If you got accused of rape and there was evidence, you would be stoned to death in ancient Israel.
Without a second witness it sure would've bene a shame to stone to death Joseph when he was accused by Potiphar's wife.
LOL, you're kidding right? Do you know anything about the law, there are plenty of people who have been convicted of rape based solely on one person's testimony. You are ridiculous.
It really quite easy. . . Once we find you have done something unmoral you are kicked out. So how can we have a moral issue, we get rid of the problem. Except if you molests someone or rape someone and there is not a second whiteness to testify of the offence. But those are small potato's. See still moral still moral!
Its more like getting rid of whistle blowers then sinners,Those who forced reform and change in the organization were always treated more harshly then the "molesters" themselves.
Also - martial arts are considered wrong for JWs not only for the violence aspect but the spiritual aspect embedded in many types of martial arts. Just an observation ...
Well there is nothing spiritually embedded in Brazilian Jujitsu, new black belts are raising the bar and redefining the art. Cause that's what it is. A art of controlling your opponent. Maiming or choking out your opponent only comes if your opponent does not wish to stop there attack by. They have a choice to Tap. + i have not been a JW for a long time. I define my own moral code and BJJ is included in that. = D
The two witness rule is the cyanide capsule of Jehovah's servants. They can use it when they decide they can't serve Jehovah anymore. Yet, they still know it's suicide.
I remember about 2 years ago i was in the ministry and a man in a pick up truck went up to another brother and told him that he would stab him just because he didn't like him. Also, in my school there is a guy who told me and another witness that he hated us because we were witnesses.
This is argument by selective observation, otherwise known as cherry-picking the evidence. If you only take some of the evidence then you'll get any answer you want. If you want to prove JWs are moral people and only use examples of them being moral then you'll easily prove it. Take all the evidence into play, do you watch these videos at all? The things you say are addressed in the video itself.
tiengviet45 riddle me this... why have I experienced so much hate from only witnesses? Why have none of the witnesses I know even bother to call my wife and I?
Why did my best friend stab me in the back after a friendship of many years?
I never did anything wrong, never got DF'd...we just have experieneced no love among brothers and sisters and especially Elders. Elders are the most fakest people around. Witnesses only show conditonal love...it is not true genuine love.
"Why have none of the witnesses I know even bother to call my wife and I?"
I wouldn't call you either after categorizing all elders as "fakest". You deserve to be shunned. And the funny part is where you say you didn't do anything wrong.
The hate you experience is a reflection of the aura you apparently cannot see you're giving off. Try applying Ga 5:22-23 and the love you give will be the love you receive.
This is to me? I don't even know where I said that. You love just wide assumptions with no fact behind them whatsoever. I'm getting to dread your comments as they're so ridiculous and riddled with logical fallacy it's becoming tedious to respond to them.
i think its because its a tough religion to belong to. it is very strict, and when someone leaves, you are missed, and that sometimes is manifested in mean spirited actions, because they felt you let them down(i guess like a trader), just my opinion.
(John 15:18-19) . . .If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19 If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.
You might want to message the guy you're siding with here. Funny story gunshypi is now Propoghandatechniques and is currently making videos that are...well actually maybe you should see them for yourself LOL.
hey buddy, ex JW here as well. good work on the research!

Do you have a reference about what you said about JWs divorce rates? I'd like to show it to some people...

@GamlaJosef I do, but bear in mind this is 2 years ago that I made this video. I'm fairly sure it's on JWD though.

Chedda131 2 years ago
A guy by the name of Rod Swift did a study on christians vs athiests on 100,000 inmates currently in prison. Of that 29267 or 39% were Catholic, 26162 or 35% were Protestant, 5435 or 7 percent were muslim and the JW's rolled in at a whopping 665 or 0.89%. Those are pretty decent numbers if you ask me.
Chedda131 2 years ago
OK, so what's the percentage of the world that are JWs vs other religions? What's the percentage of Christadelphians in prison? Would you say it's lower? Does that mean Christadelphians are more moral than JWs? Did you watch this video regarding molestation, the problem is far greater in the JW org than even in the Catholic church.
TimKilgore 2 years ago
And what percentage of deaths in wars have the catholic religion been responsible for as opposed to JW's? This could go on forever. Its pointless. The witnesses don't come to your door to tell you how good they are. They come to show you things in the bible you might not have known about or reasoned on before. They teach from the bible. They give answers from the bible. I'm not one. I don't profess to be one. But I don't attack them to try and add meaning to my life.
Chedda131 2 years ago

No one likes to give a gift and have it not be open.

hehe

AGAIN, bringing up things of little consequence, as far as molestation, you could say anywhere it happens, sick people reside EVERYWHERE! read the paper once in awhile TIM!!!
thebrickinator 3 years ago
Specific data eh? I would say that it's a strong statistical possibility that, this individual is a disgruntled excommunicated member who not only repeats the same question's phrased ever so slightly different, but who knows he has not the most minuscule inkling of changing his belief on matters, it appears he believes, JW's are a hypicritical, subversive cult! & according to his last lil gem bad parents for reading the bible to children, oh yea & advocates of child molestation, real unbiased =)
nekdawgg 3 years ago
Oh you mean you won't answer the question but will give a hasty generalization leading to an ad hominem attack of the questioner. Hmm, how genuine. Is this how all JWs act when a question is asked about them, just like I said IN MY FIRST VIDEO! You truly are a fantastic defender of the faith. It's like Obama asking McCain why he wants to buy up bad mortgages then McCain calling Obama a poopie-head.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
ad hominem, your fav word of the week.
thebrickinator 3 years ago
Stop making up "stats" we dont engage in false accusation, how is that for a high moral standard. The rest of the churches dont care what you do as long as you show up to pay that money on sunday. Sloppy dressed, disrespectful appearence, homosexuals, drunkards, etc.etc. just pay that money and you will be for given-aslong as the paster keeps getting that cash for the caddie payment its all good in the pegan hood. If you have a REAL question then ask. These fake littleIM mad at my mommie ones suck
layntred 3 years ago
The reason I do this is answered in my introduction. Please if you haven't seen it simply hit play on the top playlist, it's the first video. I'll be more than happy to send you where I got my statistics from.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
yeah your info is from more people who claim to have the inside track or tough questions for the witnesses to answer. They arnt hard at all
layntred 3 years ago
Well as long as you can answer them to yourself, if you want to share the answers and help out fellows who don't have the answers as readily available please do. Maybe it will help someone. You've made your decision about the statistics, you've decided to label them as an ad hominem to discredit them before you get them. That way you don't have to deal with the facts.

what ever religion you belong to...I CAN DESTROY IT WITH NEGATIVE COMMENTS JUST LIKE TIM GILMORE THE ATTENTION WHORE! what a crock!
thebrickinator 3 years ago
Wow, this is the most sad pathetic thing I've seen, you can't even spell my name right in your insults. Tell me you are not that ignorant. But keep throwing your tantrums like a two year old, it's working out well for you. It's sure showing that meek, mild personality of those who will inherit the earth. You are very sheep like.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
who cares what your name is. you will always be a nobody. you want attention. you are documenting your Apostasy. if you were meek and humble, you would not post videos trashing witnesses. you are the sad, bitter, slovenly one. grow up! get a job! and take a shower, i smell you from here!
thebrickinator 3 years ago
If I were not meek and humble I wouldn't be posting questions, I would be posting my thoughts that I stated were correct. I find it funny you're telling me to grow up when you come on someone else's youtube channel to call them names, and with the above response which is effectively "Not Uh! I'm not, you are" very kindergarden.

Right On! TimSmellMore looks like a bum on these vids, he needs to shave, shower and get a haircut, he looks like a street bum!
thebrickinator 3 years ago
well we dot lie and pick numbers out of the air. Its obvious there is more than these weak little questions you pose.
layntred 3 years ago
Ok JW's have problems like the rest of the world too. Yes there are cases of nearly everything that some person who claims to be a JW has done. Again we are imperfect. But see you are wrong about how the majority of the world is PURELY moral. Sure most of the world probably doesn't like to murder or steal, but honestly Go to school and nearly every person there has had sex. I would know because I've gone to 3 different schools. Is that moral? The Bible says to wait till marriage.
Zantillian 3 years ago
But JW's have a strict rule on anything unbiblical. That's why we "disfellowship". There are more moral people in the kingdom hall than there were in my 10th grade class. In fact, there were more moral people there than there were in my entire school! Having sex before marriage is very serious to JW's. No other religion has a law like that. In fact... most religions ALLOW gay marriages, sex before marriage, and tattoos/piercings. Of COURSE JW's have problems too, but we don't ALLOW this behavior
Zantillian 3 years ago
Yes, and you might do better going into a pumpkin patch and questiioning the pumpkins.
gunshypi 3 years ago
Kinda like your videos, eh? ;)
gunshypi 3 years ago
If you don't like them so much why have you watched and commented on nearly every single one of them?
TimKilgore 3 years ago
I'd say about 4 or 5 I actually watched. The rest I commented on only after watching the very end to see the question.
gunshypi 3 years ago
Good maybe you could give us a good synopses of the bible after reading the table of contents next.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
I must've started making sense here.
gunshypi 3 years ago
Or I've become bored with seeing your constant ad hominem attacks, blanket statements, appeal to fear, cherry picking the evidence, and numerous other logical fallacies you so readily engage in. It's growing tedious and boring. You don't even attempt to back up even a single one of your statements with actual evidence just an attack, a blanket statement, etc. Just because you say something a bunch of times doesn't make it true.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
Seriously Tim, do you have any idea how ridiculous you're making yourself appear?
People everywhere marvel at the fine behavior of Jehovah's Witnesses children in public places and to compare it evenly with other families would only result in an affirmation from parents that have the same twisted thinking, which hopefully isn't a very large percentage of the world's population... yet.
Do you think your statements appeal to the common man? Let me assure you, Christ himself would shun you.
gunshypi 3 years ago
If you're quoting a Watchtower sure they "marvel" at the behavior. From what I've seen and heard many marvel at the behavior of families shunning their own family members. Marvel at the guilt and fear provided. Argument by selective observation, you sure like only stating one side of the story eh?
TimKilgore 3 years ago
"Divorce rates amongst Jehovah's Witnesses are actually a higher percentage than the rest of the world."
This is false. The current divorce rate internationally is hovering around 50 %, thanks to the eroding effect of the anglo american empire. The divorce rate among Jehovah's Witnesses is 12 %.
You should really research your figures before publicly stating things you have no idea about.
It's misrepresentations like this left uncorrected that make Witnesses view you as dishonest.
gunshypi 3 years ago
Divorce rate amongst witnesses is actually 60%. You're 12% percentage is absolute BS. Check out WTFacts . org it's on there I believe that's where I got the figure.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
I am a 15 year old Jehovah's witness in Philly, and I ask others who do things similar to what you do on youtube this question, why did you leave Jehovah.
tiengviet45 3 years ago
This was said in my very first video. If you clicked on my playlist and simply hit play you would find it first. Please watch that video as it explains the whole reasoning behind this series.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
I'll tell you publicly why Tim claims he left. He says it's to protect his daughter, but you can see he's obviously got an ax to grind. Notice he doesn't set up websites denouncing Disneyworld for intentionally hiring pedophiles? It makes you wonder what kind of skeletons Tim has in his own closet.
Experience has taught me well that the things people squawk about are usually things they are guilty of themselves.
gunshypi 3 years ago
What are you appealing to the watchers of these videos. The final video tells you the reason I left and it doesn't mention anything about protecting my daughter since I left before she came around. I said the reason I'm doing the series is to protect my daughter and it isn't about child molestation it's so she can have answers to questions I asked. Stop scrolling to the end of the videos without watching them.

How often is a person raped or molested in front of someone? If the org. keeps it up their going to have so many class action lawsuits comming out of its ass, its going to have to sleep on its stomach at night.
thamilitantone 3 years ago
And when those class action lawsuits go to trial, the same question is asked... where are the witnesses? Oh... I see... her word against his. Sorry. Case closed.
I don't write the laws. I'm just a messenger.
If you got accused of rape and there was evidence, you would be stoned to death in ancient Israel.
Without a second witness it sure would've bene a shame to stone to death Joseph when he was accused by Potiphar's wife.
gunshypi 3 years ago
LOL, you're kidding right? Do you know anything about the law, there are plenty of people who have been convicted of rape based solely on one person's testimony. You are ridiculous.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
It really quite easy. . . Once we find you have done something unmoral you are kicked out. So how can we have a moral issue, we get rid of the problem. Except if you molests someone or rape someone and there is not a second whiteness to testify of the offence. But those are small potato's. See still moral still moral!
lancejujitsu 3 years ago
Getting rid of sinners doesn't really make an organization more moral it makes them less forgiving...but we all knew that right :)
TimKilgore 3 years ago
Its more like getting rid of whistle blowers then sinners,Those who forced reform and change in the organization were always treated more harshly then the "molesters" themselves.

Also - martial arts are considered wrong for JWs not only for the violence aspect but the spiritual aspect embedded in many types of martial arts. Just an observation ...
murderkillpray 3 years ago
Well there is nothing spiritually embedded in Brazilian Jujitsu, new black belts are raising the bar and redefining the art. Cause that's what it is. A art of controlling your opponent. Maiming or choking out your opponent only comes if your opponent does not wish to stop there attack by. They have a choice to Tap. + i have not been a JW for a long time. I define my own moral code and BJJ is included in that. = D
lancejujitsu 3 years ago
I can respect that! As I review your original comment I pick up on the twinge of sarcasim ;)

if i make you tap, will you convert back?

The two witness rule is the cyanide capsule of Jehovah's servants. They can use it when they decide they can't serve Jehovah anymore. Yet, they still know it's suicide.

Since I've left, I've noticed that "worldly" people are more caring and show unconditional love and concern.

Muzikman74:
That is the biggest lie in the entire world!
I remember about 2 years ago i was in the ministry and a man in a pick up truck went up to another brother and told him that he would stab him just because he didn't like him. Also, in my school there is a guy who told me and another witness that he hated us because we were witnesses.
tiengviet45 3 years ago
This is argument by selective observation, otherwise known as cherry-picking the evidence. If you only take some of the evidence then you'll get any answer you want. If you want to prove JWs are moral people and only use examples of them being moral then you'll easily prove it. Take all the evidence into play, do you watch these videos at all? The things you say are addressed in the video itself.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
tiengviet45 riddle me this... why have I experienced so much hate from only witnesses? Why have none of the witnesses I know even bother to call my wife and I?
Why did my best friend stab me in the back after a friendship of many years?
I never did anything wrong, never got DF'd...we just have experieneced no love among brothers and sisters and especially Elders. Elders are the most fakest people around. Witnesses only show conditonal love...it is not true genuine love.
muzikman74 3 years ago
"Why have none of the witnesses I know even bother to call my wife and I?"
I wouldn't call you either after categorizing all elders as "fakest". You deserve to be shunned. And the funny part is where you say you didn't do anything wrong.
The hate you experience is a reflection of the aura you apparently cannot see you're giving off. Try applying Ga 5:22-23 and the love you give will be the love you receive.
gunshypi 3 years ago
This is to me? I don't even know where I said that. You love just wide assumptions with no fact behind them whatsoever. I'm getting to dread your comments as they're so ridiculous and riddled with logical fallacy it's becoming tedious to respond to them.
TimKilgore 3 years ago
All I can say is this: if it smells like a skunk...it's probably a skunk.
I experienced first hand unlovingness from witnesses. It's my personal decision. Say what you want,I really don't care.
Oh yeah, and by the way- THAT'S REAL "CHRISTIAN LOVE" SAYING THAT I DESERVE TO BE SHUNNED...CASE IN POINT FOLKS!
muzikman74 3 years ago
i think its because its a tough religion to belong to. it is very strict, and when someone leaves, you are missed, and that sometimes is manifested in mean spirited actions, because they felt you let them down(i guess like a trader), just my opinion.
thebrickinator 3 years ago
That's because the world loves their own.
(John 15:18-19) . . .If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19 If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.
