I love both your videos. I'm always changing out my gear as well. Soon I will be purchasing the M13 but had the same reservations about the plastic expression pedals. You read my mind about replacing it with an ernie ball volume pedal! How is that done? Can you refer me to a web page or youtube link? Also, like you I am a worship pastor here in Colorado Springs. It's encouraging to see that I'm not the only "tone snob" when it comes to live guitars in worship! Thanks dude.
I'd say it is convincing enough sonically for a live mix. But on in ears I just didn't like it as well. Something about the character of the breakup bugged me. Plus, it is really for tweekers who like the technology and digging thru menu's and parameters, getting into the midi configuration etc.... I just think a simple rig of some pedals and amps that sound good out of the gate without endless tweaking is more fun. I like more immediate gratification, I guess.

@tylerschield85 Hey Tyler, Thanks a lot!! You just need to get the volume pedal for active pickups or put a 25k pot in a passive one.

Can you elaborate on what you said about the Ax-Fx not being as much? Just curious.

@robertkortus I meant the AXEFX wasn't as much fun for me. It's a very sophisticated piece of gear, I just didn't enjoy it that much.

I really only use the HD500 for personal practice or for quick in and out gigs. Usually use a plexi type patch.

Troy,
What exactly are you using the Hd500 for? Our entire worship team just switched to the amp modeling world. What are your favorite types of patches?

I use their stuff because I love their products and I have developed a great relationship with them. They have both been very good to me.
