  • how are your wrists?

  • way too far from your shins

  • this shits stupid...your gonna snappp alottt of shit up

  • Nice job. Don't be afraid to let out a little yell man. I guarantee you a yell could add 20 pounds.

  • Solid form, the knees collapsing in on the 100kg front squat means your glutes are weak. Gotta make sure you get those glutes. More heavy squatting and leg curling.

  • @ajwazhere glutes? more likely the adductors

  • does it matter which foot is in front/behind when you throw the bar above your head?

should you alternate? or does it not make a difference.

  • @aguafiesta69 As long as you get your arms up and locked, it doesn't matter. Some people alternate, some people use their strong foot back, some people do a squat jerk.

  • Are there any exercises that I can do to increase the flexability in my wrists for the catching portion of the clean? I have no where near the wrist flesability that you show in youre lifts. Thanks.

  • @tat2edup

check out Dan John's videos on wrist flexibility on youtube

  • @jeffreymp10 Awesome! Appreciate that.

  • Pretty impressive power there, Jeff. Good job.

  • yeah i agree with plo -- great lift man, but those knees were scaring me

  • gotta push those knees out man.....Box squats are a great way to increase ur abduction strength. Every time ur knees cave in like that ur knee joint is dislocating. watch some legit oly lifters and how much they push there knees out to the side. Its essentially when lifting heavy weight

  • just buy wrestling shoes, bro! i use thoes when i do deadlifts. they'r almost like olympic wl ones.

  • Olympic Weightlifting shoes and Wrestling shoes are nothing alike

  • i am just afraid to squat down and catch the bar, i feel i maybe didn't bring it high enough and it's gonna come down on me. if i got that right, i could lift a lot more weight. any tips?

  • thats a good lift im almos close to u i hould be doin that weight prob in the summer

wish me luck to do good for weightliftin in my high school im only in the 10th grade

  • Great work. 240 Ibs is nothing to spit at.

  • knees in at 3:52

  • lol at the guy in the background doing partial squats

  • man this guy suckss lmaoo im 15 weigh 75kg and jerking 97.5 this guys about as good as my 75 year old nan at this

  • haha good point man, im 16 and i rep 185 about 8 times

  • @stakeyfarmproduce Yeah only a 15 year old would make such a stupid comment.

  • @stakeyfarmproduce Well lets see the vid of that then.

  • lmao at the guy doing 1/5 squats in the background

  • @thugmelvin hAHAHA, he needs to touch the racks

  • @thugmelvin 1/5 squats with 135 lbs

  • wow bomb

  • I wonder how much this guy weighs

  • Almost thought the 242lb jerk was lost. Nice job with that.

  • well done on the lift but watch your knees! they had a very big valgus angle on you squat up! but well done on the weight

  • Even though there might be a valgus angle on his squat going the risk isn't as pronounced as it would be going down (eccentric). It's under eccentric loading where acute knee valgus is very risky and where most if not all of knee blowouts occur.

  • i appreciate tht a greater force is put through the knees during the eccentric phase of the lift, however eccentric training is great for the patella tendon. repeated valgus stress like this during training may lead to medial and ac ligamentous damage - strap the knees and train to reduce these angles

  • Is the term "acute knee valgus" referring to the way his knees come together on the way up?

  • nice lift

  • I want your shoeeeeees!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been looking everywhere, and I can't find the Olympic lifting shoes...

  • pendlay barbell has nice shoes.

  • JEFF!

  • Nice job bro keep it up!!

  • what's the song please? not 300 classical song but the rock n' roll song. Thx

  • @nof4ke4life Audioslave - Your time has come

  • bad elbows man :S

  • in the last lift, hands were too bent backwards, it almost looked like the weight could have slipped out of his hands onto his head or back

  • USmarine shut up im only 16 years old and i doo 123 kgd at clan and jerk !!! shut up with your small 140 pounds..

  • Sure u can. Stop talking trash poser.

  • wat r u talkin about? 242 poundsis more then 70 pounds

  • watch

  • i love the fox sound at the begining like your going to whatch a movie

  • At 2:55, I was so worried your legs would collapse. WELL HELD! You can see it better at 3:57.

  • No knocks are critique from me. Good job! That's a lot of weight!

  • Well I'm sure your critiques are constructive I don't blame his muscles for shaking a little bit on the last couple. I'm sure he could have done it much more smoothly if he handn't lifted over a thousand pounds prior to his final lift.

  • start doin some more front squats struggled a bit to much on the last one

  • Can somebody tell how much reps i have to perform for max. muscle gain? thx for answers

  • very good bro. very strong :)

one thing though, need to watch those knees when coming up, they keep caving in and are gonna cost you trouble later on.

  • Isn't 70kg = 144 pounds?

  • 70 kg - times it by 2.20462262256 to find it in pounds almost exactly :P im a conversions master nerd btw :L

  • Yooo that last lift was risky....get used to doing the 225 for a good ten reps den go heavier ..You need to bend your knees a little more but ur fucking strong so keep at it...

  • no intro should be longer than 10 seconds...get to the damn movie!!!

  • That´s freaky amazing man. With 10-15 more kg., you could really be an olympic weithglifter

However, I was asking for your powerlifting records. You mistook it for weightlifting, I guess. I mean, bench press, squat and deadlifting. What are your record in them, or you never do it?

  • I benched 300, full squatted 406, and deadlifted 440, I don't bench much anymore, and I weigh about 40 lbs lighter now.

  • Yes, your bench is low if we considering your best clean and jerk, which is a very harder movement. But if you barely bench, it´s not a bad weight. Maybe with some practice you could increase 100 pounds in one year. In fact you are way stronger than me. Your deadlift is very good.

  • Right. 110 kg? That's nothing. I Clean&Jerk about 185Kg myself, and that's ALMOST enough to get me a female medal! This guy looks so small! Your form is not that bad, but the first part of your lift is so-so. Be careful with your knees, they should not be bouncing around like that sideways. A little, but not so much.

  • @Guamparrapo84 you do understand that to be an olympic lifter (that might actually make it) he would have to add 60-70kg to his snatch and clean and jerk (each)?

  • You´re amazingly strong, dude. How much do you weigh? And what are your powerlifting records?

  • I just competed for a couple of years at 94 kg. Ive only done it for 3 years, my best snatch was 110kg, 130 kg clean and jerk, and a 125 kg power clean and jerk.

  • ok best bet is when you left the bar it will rub your chins no doubt but dont bar hump it can rub but do not hit it as it slows down the movement if you keep the bat at one smooth speed at the top your shrug will be an easy go well its never easy but it helps if the bar has steady momentum and no stop the clean and jerk is poetry in motion and is an art i think the long warm up is good you should post a video on how to hang clean before these people kill themselves in the gym

  • Where did u get the weightlifting shoes?

  • nice lift

  • nice job man im a sophomore and my max is 205 pounds and im workin at it, i like ur form and technique, u totally inspired me to train harder, nice job dude

  • nah they dont take away much. Active stretches really do help right before a lift

  • if he had attempted

    1st set - 70 kg

    2nd set - 90 kg

    3rd set - 110 kg

he could have lifted that 110

too much warm up takes away your power when you need it for the maximum

  • When you went for that pose at the end I thought you were gonna puke. haha. Good lifts. I'm working on powercleans and snatches in my workouts. I think I should work into this slowly. How did you get familiar with this lift?

  • yo lo ago 210 pero eres bueno ok

  • eres un verdugo llegare hay ok me falta poco lo ago con 210 lb

  • how much do you weigh? I mean you do look like you're around 180 to about 215 to me. But seriously that weight your putting up is pretty impressive.

  • Just wondering, can you drop bumper plates on cement or do you need something under the bumper plates too?

  • If you have something like rubber or wood underneath the bumbers it helps with the longevity of them, but if not it should be ok.

  • what a dick.

  • I totally agree

  • pretty good man, your first pull isnt complete tho, if you improve on that you should be able to add another 20 or 30 pounds...(im not tryin to be 'that guy', just tryin to help)

  • Thanks buddy, I appreciate it. If you watch my more recent videos its improved a little already.

  • isn't that first "intro" song from like vice city.... not that opra.. the other, when complete a misson?

  • wow. I want to lift 110 Kgs. i can only do 100 kgs. at 164.5 pounds. and i'm trying to beat my school record for 114 kgs. I'm a senior in High school and i hope to lift like you someday. ^_^

  • Very very nice man!

  • great form, i need to get my cleans like that. but yea ur "awesome lift" was kinda funny, but you played it off well. the facial expression was out there haha

  • Good technique and great lifts until the last one. Good effort but never locked out and would have been been ruled a press anyways. Maybe try to get a little deeper when gathering for the Jerk. I was always much better at the jerk, but I never did squat clean so my legs weren't exhausted from the front squat either. Good video

  • Dynamite Pose!!Nice Lift.

  • Thanks man, check out the newer videos if you want an update in my progress.

  • We get rapidly addicted to this sport ;)

  • awesome video

  • I was literally screamin' at the screen, on that last 110kg jerk. Thats pure determination there.

  • are you 77kg? or 85kg

  • Back then I was an 85, but I'm a 94 now. Check out the Seafest Open video, its my latest comp, the lifts look a bit better than before.

  • impressive, i can never seem to get the elbows as , errr, 'perfect' as yours are, great form there

  • same here, mine always go out

  • awesome Jeff,yer an animal.

  • Terrific effort! Pose needs work :)

  • You look very good for 6months work. Do you Snatch?

Bend the back foot more in your Jerk. Your back leg is too stiff = makes you lean forwards = not good for Jerks!

    Keep it up!

  • Man u got sum got technique rite der...i need help on dz ....i got gud technique bt i cant seem to get higher than 175

  • Yeah, same shoes that i have :D but i have clean & jerked only 105.. but my bodyweight is only 62 on training season but anyway.. Your lifting looks pretty good but if i was you, i would train more squats, 2 or 3 times a week, then your clean comes more explosive and then you will get more attitude and rage on that jerk and you will lift much much more!

  • Been o-lifting for about 6 months. I 'm an 85 kg lifter.

  • Form is pretty good, just work on those front squats. How long have you been OL and what's your weight?

  • Definitely work on your legs more for the over 200 lifts. Otherwise, your form looked pretty damn good under 200lbs!!!

  • Nice, but put more emphasis on your legs workout, you seem to have difficulties with front squat.

  • good lifts man but u need to work more on ur legs, u had a lot of trouble coming out of those cleans and ur knees were coming together.
