absoutely gorgeous. his videos make me so inspired to study biology; the graininess of the analog film makes it less our cinematic experience less clinical.
also, yo la tengo are a wonderful backdrop

@domakesaythink00 according to the DVD copy that i got, and according to the live performance of their music that i saw in Vancouver recently, the band providing the music in this film is indeed Yo La Tengo. I understand that this is Jean Painleve's film but Yo La Tengo did write and perform this music.

side note: this is one (and the most complete) of 8 jean painleve documentary that Yo La Tengo recorded scores for. CD is called Sounds of Science and i highly recommend the simultaneous watching and listening. its all wohh
