IThis is the most upsetting and disheartening thing I have ever see on here. I grew up in a neighborhood where all streetnames were from Generals so my dad, a history freak, told me this story and said this is what the rulers of your country can and will do to it's own people. This is really a very shamefull event in US history. It is also a big black spot on the personal histories of Hoover, MacArthur, Eisenhower and the US Army (that should have stayed outsideof the conflict).

Let's hope that today's politician's in the whole world are much wiser and listen to the people. I think, Pres. Obama right now is probably the best president that the US could wish for.

The fired on the miners in the WV minning wars, they fired on the bonus marchers, they fired on protester at Kent State. It has happened before and will happen again.

We need to make sure they know what is a legal and illegal order.

Here's the news: If the protesters come from organized labor, anti-war or environmentalist factions, the troops WILL shoot; if the protesters come from anti-immigration, anti-tax, anti-healthcare reform factions, the troops WON'T shoot.

@Hefferman1 Are you kidding? The US establishment LOVES the teabag movement. How long do you think a guy with a gun would've been allowed to stay at a Bush town hall meeting? Secret Service would've been all over that guy, but not at an Obama event. I agree the military will fire on protesters when told to by their corporate masters, but the teabage "movement" is a tool of the neocons. The LIKE the protests. Look up Dick Armey's FreedomWorks organization, which is financing the teabaggers.

Any troops that fire on its own UNARMED citizens, are guilty of 'crimes against humanity'. There is no needto define this, because at the Neurenberg trials this was already done and still is a cornerstone of warcrimes law.

@Change6609 : The courts will invoke the Nuremberg Defense at their own discretion. We have no rule of law in this country any longer. Laws are arbitrarily applied.

Actually no. The US militia act grants the Federal government the right to use lethal force from the armed force in case of a riot. Now days they tends to keep it non-lethal, but lethal shots are still allowed under the law in event of a riot.

Fun fact, this is almost exactly what happened at Tiananmen square, China.

The war crime defined in Nuremberg trial is for firing on unresisting citizen. There is also the fact that even Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court Harlan Stone calls Nuremberg trial "fraud", since it is really more about victors punishing the losers.
