  • Hey nice cover man. I m thinking about buying a presicion bass.I personally play metal but also stuff like muse or rage against the machine. Would it fit in both or in nithing at all? If not can you recommend me some basses at the same price?(Yeah, I know should go try them myself but I live in fucking GREECE!)

  • Is that a rickenbacker in the backround? Nice man!!! Where'd you get it?

  • honestly i hate bass + pick

  • you play SO GOOD i mean I LOVE MUSE and you have my vote

  • hi men, en el inicio tienes que tocar d y luego su octava que seria la cuarta cuerda en el tono d, para lograr un sonido solido!!

  • How much basses do you have?

  • Hey matafluk, you're a really good bass player and your covers are fucking awesome. I'm thinking about starting to play bass myself. Do you have any tips or something?

  • im in love with that bass +.+

  • very good

  • Is that a squier or fender vintage jazz bass?

  • man ur awesome, i recently started bass and apperently im puncing above my weight and doing great! hope i get as good as u!

  • less treble. otherwise pretty good, keep on playin. btw, i like that Pbass. is that the 50th anniversary edition? oh... and id love to have that Ric right behind you1! :)

  • wow a nice cover.... is it an american pbass? ;-)

  • i have to say for this cover the playing is good but im not liking the sound.

  • nice rack u got back there

  • You play it differently than any tab I've seen yet...but yours sounds more correct than the others I've seen...got a tab for this you could send to me?

  • HOLY SHIT basses for days:0

  • MONTHS.

  • You have distortion in this song?

  • pre chorus, octave lower :D

  • Aww nice Rickenbacker man why don't you use that in this video , I know it doesn't get on well with the distortion pedal but we could live with it :P great bassing man keep it up \m/

  • great playing, great collection of basses

  • nice

  • The red bass (first one on the stand) is in deed a Rick. 4003 i think.

  • Yeah it is, my fave bass ever XD haha

  • same

  • I like more hyper-music's bass, but i have to say that this is one of my favs

  • holy shit, how many basses do u have?????

  • Dude! How many basses do you have?! :O

  • to danbroders! Chris use pick for this song but only for chorus - for example, video from Earls Court 2004 (Absolution DVD) - you will see Chris playing his bass with pick :)

  • i couldnt find it D:

  • well actually the bassist of dethklok, bryan beller, has a really good technique that i use all the time

if you type in dethklok bass its the first video

    :]]]]

  • sweet is that a rickenbacker 4003 at the front of the rack?

  • Im sure its a Rickenbacker but dont know the model

  • It's recorded without a pick and I've never seen him use a pick on this song. He admittedly hates using picks because they fuck up the bottom end sound.

  • I've definitely seen him using a pick on this song, he didn't use to but started to use it more while recording BH&R, e.g. for Knights of Cydonia, and has picked SS frequently since then.

  • he said it in a rolling stone interview a couple of years ago. that's where he talked about how it kills the bottom end and sounds really sucky. it's easy to do without a pick if you put in the work. you'll get better control over your playing in general and strengthen fingers for better playing technique if you avoid picks.

  • omfg thank you !! hahah i hate picks too and i cant stand it when people use them its easy to do it without one haha :P

  • Nice ric;)

I just got mine in mapleglo

  • I prefer doing your mom....

Show me a video of yours you cunt!

  • @matafluk Rwj! FTW

  • Shutup

I've seen chris use a pick for this song

  • @danbroders

YOU DONT EVEN HAVE A VIDEO

  • nice tight playing!

  • nice playing man.

I think you should of added more bass to your tone though.

  • Way to show off your basses! ;D

    Good playing, man!

  • another good one

    try Hysteria by muse

  • Becasue I want... I love them I collect them but specially BECAUSE I CAN. By the way I just bought a new one. I smell some remarkable ENVY here, if you think buying this instruments its a waste, then you are a complete twat.

    Who are you? Geddy Lee?

  • dude you are pretty good. im the same way i want so many basses but i cant afford them. i only have an ibanez sr500. who is your favorite bass player? in my opinion les claypool is the best.

  • Les Claypool is a monster for sure, I admire a lot John Entwistle, Geddy Lee and the creativivty of Simon Gallup, he`s not fast, he`s not virtuous but he creates fantastic bass lines.

Some day and step bu step yu will have your collection mate.

  • @matafluk Cliff Burton ha some pretty amazing stuff. Tbh all the MetalliA bassist are/were amazing. Then there's Balzary, or as most of you know him as, Flea. It's kinda hard to pick one favourite bassist. Prehaps from all different genres yeah, but not an over all.

  • good one!

  • @matafluk Geddy Lee=Best bass player ever

  • wats ur fav bass??

    mad vid

  • Uhh... tough one... I guess this one... the Fender P 1976 and the Rick for sure. Those 2 are my fav.

    Cheers for writing.

  • cool ive got a sammick and am geting a rockbass streemer by warwick

  • I had a 5 strings Warwick, but I never got used to the neck. Too wide. What do you play? 4 or 5? or 6 even?

  • 4 stings

  • Me encanta Muse, deberias probar a tocar hysteria, the groove o newborn que tienen un bajo muy bonito xD

yo lo he intentado.. xD a ti evidentemente te saldra genial jajaja

  • n1 bass collection and well played!

  • hey, beginner at bass here. is it just practicing or is there a way to pick strings fast? I can pick it like the bassline in this song like 5 times but then I just mess up :( Practice or anything you can improve by some simple trick?

  • there are no easy tricks am afraid practice practice practice all the way. although when i play it i don't pluck the strings as hard and relax the fingers when i do it. your fingers can go alot longer relaxed than being forced. if ur using plectrium then sorry i have no idea

  • Amazing! Are you a pro? All this stuff cost very high :o

  • LOL! No... not a pro, just an obssesive compulsive bass lover, collector, amateur player.

  • Is that a Rickenbacker 4003 behind you?

  • Yes it is.

  • Great tone out of that p-bass and looks like a combo amp. What kind/how many watts?

  • That one is a shitty 100W combo perfect for home, but I use a 300 W Gallien Krueger with my garage band.

  • GK is my favorite brand for bass amps.

  • can u post a video showing us and letting us hear all ur bass guitars plz

  • wow - u hav so many bass guitars kl - i hav a collection of musical instruments too - but not all bases lol!! - at present i hav 3 acoustic guitars, 2 electric guitars, 1 bass guitar, 1 elec. drum kit, a korg synthesizer, a few effects pedals, a few mics, several amps and a mixer - wat effects r u using there???

  • Just some overdrive in the bridges of the song...and a knock out pedal for "colouring" the sound".

  • how much basses do u have? Sick Playing

  • I have 8....but I usually play just 4 of them...

  • you rock!

  • maaaan u got a nice collection of basses

  • Just today I bought the exact same bass, yellow and everything, second hand! Nice job.

  • What year of manufacture is yours?

  • Sorry for the late reply, I checked all over my bass and I can't actually find the year on it. Pretty wierd.

  • do you just play pick with songs that're too fast? I've seen you play both with a pick and finger

what bass did you start off with? I have a crappy squire P-bass, and Geddy Lee's signature jazz bass

  • Alo mejot me vi muy mal y medio nacon escribiendo lo anterior en ingles pero no es facil escribir ese tipo de cosas.

    Bueno anyway.

    Paz

  • excuse me man i really dont wanna bother you anymore.your comment on my inbox really shook me(pero cabron wey!).

I realized that everybody began somewhere.

I just wanna say peace, and the best for you, keep going and thanks for removing the asshole in me,

    Bye.

  • Doblemente valioso es aquel que tiene los huevos de reconocer sus errores y sus aciertos.

    Chingon negro...todo cool.

  • gg how long you been playing bass for ?

    i will go learn

  • Awesome!

How long you been playing bass for? I'm considering learning it! Any advice?

  • Thanks mate. Been playing for 8 years now.

My advice would just be, buy a cheap bass a small combo amp at the beggining, keep it always tuned, begin with U2 and Beatles songs that are extremely easy to play. Practice over and over and as time goes by, try different songs and buy then a better bass, amp, pedals, cables etc.

    Go to th basics first.

  • Good taste in music and good playing :)

  • brilliant. could have lowered the tone or just played with your fingers (if you can hit those 16ths haha :P) otherwise great job 1 of the most accurate i've seen on YT :D +fav

  • Playing those 16ths with the fingers it`s impossible! hahahaha. At the very beggining everything is OK, but after a minute, I begin to lose the rythm with my fingers, and everything hurts!

Thanks a lot for comment and for the add to fav.

  • Wow I dont think youve got enough toys sitting there on that rack d-bag! =P

That was all envy my friend. =]

    That a Rick up front?

  • I dont think I have enough either! I want more of those toys hahahaha.

    Yes, its a Rick

  • Thanks bilal.

    Yes, its a Rick 4003.

As far as I know this bloke uses Pedula and Warwick basses, he has a Rick too and when he uses Fender he uses a Jazz Bass, but not a P... but... who knows. The Pedulas are extremely expensive. Just The Who`s John Entwistle had that one!

    Salama!

  • I love that bass :) if you want you could send it to Australia :)

Nice playing I love Muse! you can probs tell from my vids :p

    Rock on!

  • LOL! Thanks man. The bass is 32 years old. obvioulsy I bought it second handed. You cant imagine the smell of cigarette on the body it had the first week, It was shipped from New Orleans. I can imagine the places where it was giged. Lots of Mojo.

Someday I will ship it to you yo Australia ok? hahaha!

    Merry Christmas mate.

  • Merry Christmas :)

  • OK... well, Im not using any tabs. I always play be ear, I hate tabs LOL! Maybe my ears are already rotten.

    Cheers for comment anyway mate.

  • What you mean? In the beggining? Its d, when you play it up sounds good, but its actualy down, so I changed the E string to d.

    Sounds wrong to you?
