Also, the reason I don't like a lot of members of Blink is because they seemed to change their whole sound and image for the fame and fortune - like what you're saying now. It's the same bass drum resonant head that he used on his kick in the "Adam's Song" video, but he didn't get that particular drum kit until 2000. I believe for the 1996 Aquabats tour he used an older Ludwig kit.

And you're only proving how ignorant you are. As an experienced (10 years and running) jazz drummer, I can respect Barker for what he does, and how well he does it. His playing on the Fury! of the Aquabats album is some of the best ska drumming ever, period. His playing showed style, taste, dynamics, and of course some speedy chops! He may not be the best but he is one of the few original rock drummers out there.

As for Blink 182, they started out as a really bad pseudo punk band and became a less bad pseudo punk band who ended up writing some polished, fun stuff.

As for Barker, well he's a drummer who, as some of you have said hasn't been in a bad band. He's a complex talented drummer and has had a positive impact on every band he's been in. Although his reality series sucks his drumming skills are amazing.

They are a cool mix of many genres with the style of 80's pop bands like Devo who, made a huge contribution to music. You certainly CAN play a song by accident. If you just pick random chords to play, and it winds up being the chords to a blink song, then yes, you certainly just played a song by accident. And 1. the songs on the top 10 arent all the same, they all just suck. 2. an aquabats song would be harder to write because there are more than 3 instruments. As a matter of fact, theres more than twice that many. Writing more of a song is harder.

My bad. I misread that. But most blink songs contain G, C, E, Em, D, and F chords in it. Which are used in a lot of songs, so just randomly playing those chords, it's easy to put them in the order of a blink song. Anyhow, thats not the point. my point is that it takes more effort to write ska than pop punk. NOT saying that pop punk is bad music. And actually, each band member doesnt make up their own part.
