ESPN ranked the 1995 Nebraska team as the best team since 1980 with the 2001 Hurricanes coming in at number two. However, in terms of pure talent, it's not close. The 2001 UM team had 17 future 1st round NFL draft choices, names like Ed Reed, Andre Johnson, Frank Gore, Clinton Portis, Santana Moss, Johnathan Vilma, Sean Taylor, etc. The 1986 UM team had its share of future NFL stars but not as many as the 2001 version.
Bosworth claimed (in a lame book he wrote) that some of the Miami players were "coked" up during this game. He claimed that he could see it in their eyes, and that Tastaverde knew and expressed that he didn't like it.
It is simple, in this game OU was dominated!!! Hands down. I am a huge OU fan and have been since 73....but Miami was loaded and built to stop OU's wishbone, they gave Miami the short feild in this game and it hurt them. OU could not throw and I know Jackson was great, but he is only one person. I hate this game, but my Sooners were killed and could not compete w/Maimi
gators will be fine without Tebow, they gotta worry more about replacing all the guys they are going to lose on defense... The run the Gators have made the past 4 years rivals any team in college football history.
Hey jgatorful I've seen your posts on several Miami Hurricane videos. I must say first and foremost, you are a racist prick. That's number 1. At the same time part of you loved these Hurricanes the way most of us did. Dude, don't hate. We're the reason UF are where they BEEN these last 4 years. Coaches around the country realize if you wanna win you gotta recruit from South Florida. Good luck after Tebow leaves and Urban Meyer decides to go elsewhere because he can't win w/o the golden boy.
over half of those titles are from before color tv...1950,1955,1956,1974,1975...like i said....this life time bitch ass gramps, take your meds and change your diaper.
time of month?why?thirsty you sheep humping fucktard...most of those douche bags are dead...your soft ass must be one of the, bitch ass,,,watching old UM videos and jacking off....sad.
so...the NFL is jail now?what a tool...again, take your meds, change bthat sagging diaper and take a nap gramps...the good ol' days are long gone, must really burn you up that your squad geys its ass kicked with regularity by a bunch of non literate thugs and jailbirds...do you suck???O U suck alright...
dont be dismayed that i may be smarter, better looking and older than you...truth is MIAMI owns ou...ask keith jackson why he started coming down to greentreee practice field to work out...ask the boz...ask any of their actual players,,since you are younger than me...how many titles has ou won in your lifetime?....thats what i thought.
get off the meth...who has the most national titles in your lifetime???most number 1 nfl picks in your lifetime??most pro bowl picks in your lifetime???most espn top ten plays in your lifetime.most jerseys sold worldwide??? um went 9-4 with a team of freshmen and sophmores...whats hysterical is the fact that you keep coming back trying to defend some has beens that never were...name 5 ou players in the pros right now!!!thats what i thought...
o.k....one stud, one average player and three???wtf??s...did i say the best of all time or did i say we own ou?...did you watch that pro bowl in MIAMI?see that um reunion...bet it made you puke!!!truth is um has produced the top talent in the league consistantly since we stepped on the scene, which, again, is in color and not black and white film,i.e...modern era...as in...this lifetime!!! watch national signing day and weep...
Do you have the rest of the game? I remember one play in particular, I think in the first quarter, when Bratton and Bosworth collided and Bosworth's helmet came off.
that play is SERIOUSLY overrated. that was ONE PLAY. you dont ever hearing anybody talk about Brian Urlacher getting TRUCKED by Jerome Bettis do you? yet he's still considered a hero. Boz had an angle and Bo's momentum carried them both into the endzone. quit being such a hater.

Boz is one of the best college linebackers ever. He had it all.
Too bad injuries shortened his NFL career, but in college, one of the best ever.

Johnson was with OU when they first brought out the wishbone in 1970. He had the personnel in Miami to stop it (he didn't have at OK State).
