The funny thing about Derek, when he dances, is that he makes all the women look clumsy even Nicole even his own sister. He is so flink and fast and it looks like his feet are made of feather or something - he doesn't need to tuch the floor. (maybe because he doesn't wear high heels during the dance) Every time I watch him dance I just can't believe how naturaly this comes to him.

I think of all seasons Nicole and Sabrina were the most fabulous performers ever. They brought their dances to live bringing such great characters and did easily light up the ballroom. And Nicole did deserve the trophy in 100%.

WHERE AS IT EVER BEEN STATED THAT THE STARS CAN NOT HAVE DANCING EXPERIENCE? People want to harp on that when its not even a rule! I dont get it, how figure skaters, gymnast, actors, and singers can get on the show and do very well and no one says BOO!. I dont think the show would do as well if all of the stars had dance talent like Kate Gosslin and The Situation. I mean that gets old real quick. And how many with "too much dance experience" have won? Not Mel B! & Not Mya! I'm glad Nicole Won!!

@BORONJ91 100% agree with you. I meen lok at it. Of the 11 winners, only Nicole & Jennifer have come into this competition with at least some experience. And think of Sabrina, Mya, Mel, Brandy, even Joey Mac from season 1 had dance experience. Not a single one of them won.

Nicole and Derek did not receive one single vote from our household, all season. We were supporting Evan & Anna, and Erin & Maks. HOWEVER, once the finals were over, we had to admit that the best dancers won. My problem with N & D is that we figured out, plenty early, that Nicole was already a professional dancer, and thus overqualified for this contest.

The best dancers won, but the spirit of the show was violated, IMHO.

@daneldorado She is a hip-hop dancer so she still is out of her element and evan deals with choreography and choreo to music as well as dealing with keeping lines and form plus he has had dance lessons so I don't think the spirit of the competition was violated especially since the show does need actual stars like Nicole not just reality personalities like kate

@Diddlina02 Why is Nicole and Derek's freestyle the "worst" ever, if the two freestyles were cheated by the help of Mandy Moor and Bobby Newberry. Their freestyle was clean and original. And how does Nicole stink? Oh gosh.

Nicole haters really can't move on, and they even set their minds that Nicole is the worst ever and she sucked the whole season just to desperately change the results by ABC.

And don't worry, Maks is gonna get a better partner. Pair him with Lady Gaga, and he will win!

@Diddlina02 For the people who are not professional dancers like most of the viewers (including Niecy Nash) do not really see Nicole's growth. However, I see a lot of improvement from her. The jive in week 2 was phenomenal, but this final jive was the best among the rest. In week 8, her paso doble was declared as the best of all 10 seasons. A week later, she performed the Argentine tango and it's the most intricate dance ever in DWTS history. So really, she showed improvement.
