Now, I don't remember there being a large English-American migration out of the U.S. after the 1980's. So I'm pretty sure that percentage is even larger now but it's not represented, because as I stated, most English-Americans just consider themselves Americans.

They may not be directly tied to Latium, but they are tied to it, in the sense that Hispania was part of Rome for hundreds of years, and the Romans are the same people genetically as the people from the tribe of Latin. I also question the assertion that Americans of English ancestry are in power. I cannot verify this, but simply by searching the leader's surnames I see very few English origin names. Obama (African name), Boehner (Anglicised German), Pelosi (Italian), Reid (likely Scottish), Cantor (Jewish). Up until defeat in the first world war, Austria-Hungry was a very large country. At Versailles, Austria-Hungry was divided up and Südtirol granted to the Italians as a prize.

It is my understanding that German is the most common ancestry for all US Americans, at 15%. In practice, very few US Americans have Anglo-Saxon origins. Further, I suspect Irish, Polish, or Swedish origin Americans would resent being lumped together with Anglo-Saxon groups, as their cultures are distinct from British.

And the reason that I mention Anglo-Americans is because they're the ones in office, they control the government, they started the government, and founded the United States and they were the main orchestrators of the Mexican-American War that took away half of Mexico's land, along with the Scots-Americans, like James Polk.

I've been told that German is the most common ancestry in the US and Wikipedia states this in both English and German (search German American). Granted, Wikipedia is a questionable source in scholarly matters, but Wikipedia cites the US census, which should be accurate.

Also here's this quote "In the 1980 United States Census, over 49 million (49,598,035) Americans claimed English ancestry, at the time around 26.34% of the total population and largest reported group which, even today, would make them the largest ethnic group in the United States".

Now, I don't remember there being a large English-American migration out of the U.S. after the 1980's. So I'm pretty sure that percentage is even larger now but it's not represented, because as I stated, most English-Americans just consider themselves Americans.

Well "latinos" would rather be called Hispanic. And one reason why the United States started using Latino to identify people who speak Spanish in the United States is because, not every Hispanics, European ancestry, is from Spain, many of them also have ancestry from Italy. Lots of Italian immigrants came to Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Uruguay etc. and even Brazil, but that's a different story, since Brazilians don't count themselves as Hispanic, because they don't speak Spanish.

And I beg to differ about Spanish speakers not having any tie to Latium. They may not be directly tied to Latium, but they are tied to it, in the sense that Hispania was part of Rome for hundreds of years, and the Romans are the same people genetically as the people from the tribe of Latin. And I'm positive they intermixed with the people of Hispania at the time like the Catalans, the Basques etc.

I also question the assertion that Americans of English ancestry are in power. I cannot verify this, but simply by searching the leader's surnames I see very few English origin names. Obama (African name), Boehner (Anglicised German), Pelosi (Italian), Reid (likely Scottish), Cantor (Jewish). Up until defeat in the first world war, Austria-Hungry was a very large country. At Versailles, Austria-Hungry was divided up and Südtirol granted to the Italians as a prize.

And you can't descend from Latins, Latin is not an ethnicity it is a language, a language that the Romans created. The Latins (a tribe) spoke Latin (the language). The Latins were an Italic tribe in Latium ( Lazio, in modern Italian) before Romulus and Remus built the city of Rome. The Latins were among the first citizens of Rome. Even today a citizen of the city of Rome is called a Roman. I am confused why Spanish speakers in the Americas are called Latino, as they have no tie to Latium and distantly influenced by the Latin language, less so than modern Italian or Romanian speakers.

The main linguistic branch (Indo-European) coming from what is now modern India, Persia, and Pakistan. Spanish, English, German are all Indo-European. Georgians (the ones who live in the Caucuses) speak a Kartvelian language, which is not Indo-European, though most also speak Russia, which is.

I'm not saying it's the most amazing country in the world or anything. But its future is much brighter than the U.S.'s.
FOR THE MOMENT, it's attractive for Mexicans to go to the U.S. to enjoy the theme park it has become. They're pretty much there to say they witnessed the twilight years of the American empire. Then they'll move back to their then-flourishing country.
