I forgot to mention the twin turbo kit, that's why I was gonna cash out for the better injectors. But it doesn't matter now some FUCKWAD SIDE-SWIPED MY MAX THE OTHER NIGHT!.! So i'm replacing the fenders so....But damn dude my homework was done at that time I just wasn't sure of the TT or not.....Believe me I wasn't doubting the S/C just a VQ fan putting his 2 cents in.....
twin turbos can reduce lag but in a FWD car that only means you can spin your tires sooner. Think about a single turbo setup if you stick with the modding plans after the body work is done (unless you are looking to build a show car). That's just my opinions. Sorry to hear about the damage - I hate body work.
There were some "middle" models, like my '95 Maxima to the naked eye is a SE with NO excess options (leather, Bose, nothing)just what came with the SE badge foglamps, Keyless entry and that oh so amazing suspension. But if you run the VIN through Nissan, or an insurance agency it's a SE/GLE.. It's weird...
same here - but if that's S/C and sprayed, i'm deffinatly going to do a 3.5 swap - cuz that's not that fast bro, sorry to be negative.......... 3.5 with cams, full intake exhaust and good clutch/flywheel would SMOKE that shit
Now I do have a hard time believing that THIS is S/C, but I gotta admit that you got me on the 3.5. I drove a 2008 3.5 SE w/CVT like 2 wks ago, BTW, I CAN'T STAND CVT, but the engine was was fucking heaven...But we'll see I'm getting a custom built trans for my 95 (5spd w/ manual mode) really expensive but well worth it, aluminum flywheel,NISMO headers and exhaust, high flow injectors, and a set of 18" 5 spoke alloys from a parted out 350Z wheels from a ...When I get the money of course...lol
The motor was on it's way out. Burned rings letting the motor burn a quart of oil in a few hundred miles... coolant was getting contaminated quickly...
so you are getting high flow injectors why? If you are you are not boring, stroking, spraying or boosting the motor your stock injectors have the required capacity regardless of flywheel, intake, exhaust, transmission, rim size, etc. Also, bigger injectors without a proportionally bigger MAF means custom or piggy back ECU.$ Do your homework.
I owned a 2002 Max with a 6 spd trans for a few years too. It's a quick car for sure. But keep in mind that if I was putting a bunch more ponies down in the 95 max I would have been spinning in 3rd too. That's essentially maxed out my straight-line accel up to about 92mph. We are talking FWD here. The only thing you would be smoking would be your front tires. Analyze my vid, calc the HP. Anyways, if you can get more area under your torque curve with an all motor 3.5 good for you - really.
SE gauges are nifty because they're black text on a white background, but only the text lights up, so at night it's white text on a black background. This is an SE gauge cluster.
There's GXE, SE, and GLE for the 4th Gen model. GXE is the base package with minimal frills available (Generally making it the lightest). SE is the sport package with stiffer suspension, foglights, remote entry, etc. GLE is the Luxury package with leather, Bose and what-not. Nissan did not offer the GLE with a 5 speed.
HEY! Nice!!! My car is just like this one but one year newer. The difference is, YOUR CAR WILL SMOKE MINE!!! HOW DID YOU DO IT??? DANG!!! Somehow, you have added POWER, POWER AND MORE POWER to your Maxima!!! Nice job (however you did it!)
lol. I was breifly a member of the more money than brains club. lotta fun tho. supercharged with 100 shot of nitrous. race clutch and lots of other crap to make it all work with the stock ECU.
Maybe they are not stock, I dont know what is in the SE, actually I dont even know which one mine is because I look all over the car everywhere and I only see Maxima, I look at the title and only see Maxima, I look in the owners manual and only see Maxima, I do not see GLE, GXE, or SE anywhere on the car, owners manual, or title, I have always thought that was strange but can not understand why this is like this!
Yeah. That is strange! It looks like the face of a GLE. I have a GLE and the faces look just like that... You can't even find out by the VIN? (I think I got that acronym right).
can i use this video in my 200th video

You're right about the GLE. I own one and it doesn't come as a manual shift. And I thought all Maxima's from 95-99 came with Bose stereos?

nice gauges
bilbo1996 4 years ago
actually I agree, but I can tell you (because I have a 96 Maxima) these gauges are the stock gauges.
txe5502 3 years ago
And its funny you say there stock. I thought only the GLE came with black gauge faces and the SE came with white, like the GXE?

No, the GXE and the GLE came with black gauge faces. Only the SE came in white. This video was taken at night.

did u hit nitrous at the beginning?
Sincere92 4 years ago
Yes, for about 1 second... just long enough to get some excessive wheelspin.
