It's a car for criusing not performance. I've got a mk2 Golf GTI 16v. I know. The car cost me a grand, I've spent another grand on suspension, brakes and playing around with the suspension geometry and about £500 on the engine. Result 900KG and 180BHP and quick enough round a race track

For 20'000 you'll get (For example) an Audi S2 or RS2 in great shape. Spend the remaining 6000 bucks for upgrades and wou will have a 400+ hp 4wd rocketship that looks way better, has the best engine sound (Inline 5-cylinder), is faster, has style, has more cargo space, is useful and so on...
