  • terry youuu legenddd

  • Yo guys, i spin.. i take wicket and all but i dont get alot of spin and its fustrating me! im an on spinner(the most common) i spine with my right hand and i sorta use the seem can anybody hel me?

  • RIP TJ :(

Great Vid!! Great to learn it straight from Warnie's mentor!!

Stuart MacGill! What an awesome bowler!! He would have ended among the greatest spinners ever had his career not coincided with Warne!! Was happy for MacGill when Warne retired but MacGill retired soon!MacGill stated that he retired as he no longer could feel the ball pass his fingers while he released!! But there are plenty of cricketers who are well past their peak just staying so they can get some personal milestones!

  • @NickWatcher thanks :)

  • Who's the bowler at 1:21 ? Thanks :)

  • @Iamlegend0014 Stuart MacGill

  • how can i bowl this chinaman bowling

  • a great great man u will be missed terry

  • can leg break be also bowled by left hand

  • @MrJatinbhatia it can turn like a leg spin, with a off spin action on the left arm.

  • @MrJatinbhatia yeh it can i think its called chinamin bowling, katich bowls it

  • @MrJatinbhatia I'm a chinaman bowler. It's even more difficult to bowl than a leg-break, because of the small target area. Famous chinaman bowlers are Chuck Fleetwood Smith, Michael Bevan and Brad Hogg. If you want to see it, you can look up ''Best Of Brad Hogg'' on youtube or ''Beau Casson Forgotten Aussie Spinner.

  • @MrJatinbhatia

they call it CHINA MAN ....Michael Beaven was china man ...

  • @ThePakpakistan - brad hogg

  • @MrJatinbhatia yeah man but in left arm leg spin you have to copy the off spin action in off spin you roll your fingers and the ball spins in anti-clockwise direction just like that you have do your left arm legspin

  • @MrJatinbhatia - why not dats called left hand chinaman n u can bowl with ur left hand !!!

  • @MrJatinbhatia yeah but they are called chinaman or left arm unorthodox

  • @MrJatinbhatia yeah but it's called chinaman

  • @MrJatinbhatia yes, it's called left arm chinaman

  • @MrJatinbhatia i do

  • @MrJatinbhatia Yes, I am left-handed, but the spinning directions are all reversed.

  • @MrJatinbhatia There's an issue with semantics here. When you say Leg Break do you mean the wrist spinners stock ball - but left handed? If so that's what we call 'China man bowling'. If you bowl the wrist spinners stock ball to a right hander it'll turn into his body like a wrong un, but as a left handed wrist spinner your stock ball to a LH bat will go away from the bat and wlll be a left handed leg break.

  • @MrJatinbhatia yes. but as opposed to a leg-break bowler, a left-handed leg-spinner will be called a chinaman! :D

  • @MrJatinbhatia Yes you can. Using the same technique you will have the ball breaking from right to left. Leg spin bowled by a Left hander is sometimes called Chinamen.

  • @Syuriously HOGGY !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrJatinbhatia of cource follow the same steps with left hand

  • @MrJatinbhatia yeah mate called 'chinaman'. got a bloke on my team who bowls it. turns like an off spinner but more

  • WOW WHAT A BALL

  • WOW WAT A BALL

  • RIP TJ

  • Good awesome.........................:-)

  • RIP TJ every true cricket lover is going to miss you

  • RIP, Terry!

  • Mee Too Wen I try To bowl it , It Get Off Spin

  • I can bowl leg breaks but when I try and release the ball with a different wrist position the end result is still a leg break. Why is this?

  • @johnnycheck99 Suggest you slow things down a bit, the chances are you're making an effort to get the wrist position in a different place for different deliveries but when you go to release the ball your hand still ends up in the same place. Practice from a standing position 'going round the loop' which is starting with a leg break, top spinner and then a googly.

  • @leftie600 Thanks-i'll try that one when i go down the nets on my own later.

  • How come the "Flipper" wasn't showcased?

  • @Crkt4Eva The flipper's a cool delivery and there's plenty of youtube posts about it but realistically any backspinning delivery can do the job. What Terry's presenting here are the fundamentals of legspin bowling which are of course the legbreak, topspinner and googly.

  • @australia1nbr1 fuck u bitch cuz of him i made 50 wickets all together and because of cloverdale cricket masterclasses batting tips 1 i made 250 runs that my opponent team could not make .it was impossible.

SO FUCK U BITCH so me the proof that shane warne the king of spin took drugs.ASSHOLE.

  • how come

when a try to bowl leg break i bowl a top spinner in stead

  • @1622matt same thing happens with me............... but sometimes i also get off spin

  • @rikpratimrocks yaa i also get ofspin aswell somtomes aswell

  • @1622matt Your wrist position isn't quite right at release, the chances are you're closing your body a little bit which prevents the wrist from opening up enough for a legbreak but closes it into a topspinner position. Have a go bowling with a slightly more open action, start with walking through the change before going into your full action though.

  • i tried leg spin with my friends, and i got 2 wickets but he got 8 sixes!!

  • kia akheeer spin hai bhai

  • Can't wait to try the googly

  • Macgill's got a really aggressive action, looks awesome. I wish I could imitate that.

  • nice video

  • jst need to wrk on googly (wrong'un)..nic video

  • Comment removed

  • this guys z awesome...

  • If bowlers are anything like baseball pitchers, I assume they suffer many career-ending elbow injuries... there's a ton of strain on the arm required to spin the ball like that.

  • @slspf2 - No, not as far as I'm aware, there's a condition called medial epicondylitis that can set in, but it causes obvious pain and anyone reaching that point would rest up and do exercises to strengthen the fingers to negate the condition. Blisters and abrasions on the spinning finger is common, but not that bad that you'd have to give up.

  • im not a spinner (im fast pace - swinger, cutter) but i love watching this video :D

  • proud to be a a leg spinner. Thanks yu to the greatest legends (abdul-qadir and shane warne)..

  • such a good video,thnx

  • Why they just show Shane Warne bowling instead of Stuart MacGill..

  • @TheJoEcEpHsMoViEs217 MacGill had a much more conventional line and length than Warne did, which is easier for a beginning wrist spinner to develop.

  • @TheJoEcEpHsMoViEs217 because stuart macgill bowls more wrong uns and diffrent varieties. but i agree shane warne is a much better bowler.

  • this video helped my leg spin a lot i only had 3 wickets on the year and then in my next match i got 7 wickets lol

  • lol Ian Healy, "Me fingers are like twisties"

  • how are you supposed to turn ur wrist upside down to do the googly top spinner or leg break?

  • @DLinKzifY Use your shoulder, elbow and wrist - hold you arm out in front of you with the palm facing the floor and twist all three and get your palm facing upwards - then apply that to your bowling action - simple.

  • lol the anouncers sound drunk !!

  • I am the inverse, I can easily do Googly but find doing legspin difficult.

  • ive got the finals for my U15 tournament tomorrow, this really helps- thanks :)

  • i loves my crickets too !!

  • I've now done a video on how to recover your Leg break if you're suffering from the Googly Syndrome. Type in Googly Syndrome in youtube and you'll find it.

  • This is odd, Terry says that you have a small area to bowl into in this video and then on the BBC video which is on here, he then goes on about having a big area to bowl into! On the subject of McGill - such a brilliant bowler, I love Mc Gills bowling.

  • Stuart Mcgill: Unluckiest guy in all of cricket to be born at the same time as warne.

  • GREAT GOOGLY!!!

  • i can only get it to leg spin

  • how can u loose ur leg break if u bowl a googly to often?

  • @sh3hr0z3 Because physically the Googly is an easier ball to bowl and far more natural. If you've learned to bowl the Leg Break you've trained your brain to do so and your muscle memory is set up to bowl that way. If U then start working with the Googly you'll affect your Motor Learning and start to re-wire your brain in a new way and your brain will opt for the easier method if given the chance. Then when you return to bowling the Leggie you'll find you can't so well.

  • @someblokecalleddave1 Oh..Thanks!

  • Nice Tips Gotta Goto Nets......

  • cool

  • what do i do if i have googly syndrome please help

  • @MrPakcric Try turning your wrist round so that it feels wholly un-natural - as you bring your arm over, have the sensation that you're going to bowl with a Karate Chop action so that the batsman will see the side of your hand (The chopping side). Although you feel like this is what you'll be doing it wont happen like that and as long as the ball comes off your 3rd finger you'll find that you'll start to recover your leg break.

  • im officialy the best bowler in the whole of huntingdonshire and i bowl spin big woooop

    sawtry cc 4 life

  • for some reason i can bowl a googly (a proper one, not just an off spinner) every time but not a leg break. This confuses me deeply.

  • @checkers427 that happens to me all the time :(

  • @checkers427 tru..same here

  • @checkers427 Googly syndrome - see below.

  • The tips that i've learned is worked sometimes but i do more practise about this tips.

  • come on i am just tired of trying the googly

  • @shravanzooper Can you bowl a Top-Spinner?

  • im just learning to spin and this helps me alot :) thanks

  • jenners a legend

  • @yoldo77 yes try using both hands simultaneously, one is bound to generate leg spin, when you figure out which one, then go to a surgeon and get the other hand removed surgically so that there is no element of confusion next time. hope that helps. cheerios

  • @yoldo77 You have googly syndrome. You are going to have to start back practicing your leg spins underhanded. Then move to round arm. Then over head when you get comfortable with the other two. It may take some time so keep working at it. In future try not to bowl googlies in succession. Try one to every six or eight leggies

  • Terry Jenner = Spin God!!!

  • itz hard 2 do the googly buh itz eazy to the doosra

  • i have started legspin after 6 years cos i was not fit. my problem is that i cant mantain my line and length now ... just does full toss and short pitch ... to be honest just forgot how to pitch on line ... is there any video or any tip how to mantain ?? thanks

  • who is this bowler

  • stuart mcgill

  • guys how do i spin the ball more is it my action ? and how i can make the ball drift plz reply thx

  • spin comes from the action, i suggest cocking your wrist further to the right of the body keeping the back of the hand facing behind you (assuming right handed) to get drift keep your grip loose get your arm high and dont over turn your wrist. finish with your wrist in its everyday position and dont forget the follow through

  • cool

  • @promagic21 type in leg spin bowling in google and you'll arrive at one of my blogs, it's usually just above wikipedia. Follow the links there. Or go to my youtube channel and look at the 'Stand start drill' or type in stand start in you tube. This drill will help you work towards getting more trun and drift.

  • I am an unusual legs spinner.

My stock ball is the wrong un even though i can ball a leg break. The way i hold the wrong un is slightly differant to this guide'm not saying it is better just differant.

I hold the wrong un with 3 fingers on top of the ball and one under it. Unlike his version of 2 on top and 2 on bottem.

I suggest use the videos guide first but if it's not working you can always try this.

  • i'm a left arm orthodox spinner

  • THNX HELPS ALOT

  • Great vid tkx alot 5/5

  • hey guys im an off spinner i get my seam pretty straight but it spins some balls and some of em dont spin at all and how do i generate drift? and how can i spin the ball more is it my action? i have a normal off spinner action plz reply thx.

  • @razor02134 It is probably a good thing if some balls spin and others don't as you will have a good chance of tricking the batsman.

  • its stuart mcgill

  • who's the bowler at 1:19??

    is it mcgill?

  • Yep, spot on

  • OMG 1:19 !!!!!!!!!

  • Dudez I play for the first eleven at my club and I am so close to getting selected in the QLD Bulls side

  • i'm sure you are cockhead

  • hey, hi insects, i love eating lemons, im a little unique!!!

  • what the fuck?

  • what do u do?

  • i m a leg spinner and dont evn do it the way he is telling but i get alot of turn. i think this looks easy to me, but it is hard and it is art..... love leg spinn

  • with spin bowling, does it matter about smooth or rough sides??

  • its better if itrs rought because u can generate more spin when its new it maybe spin but barely. Only international players can spin a new ball eg. Daniel Vettori.

  • not entirely true (only internationals); i get a lot of spin even with a new ball as my seam position is so straight, that it grips on the seam and rips from there.

  • rough and smooth sides aid with drift and can aid in drop for some balls, as well as helping disguise balls- eg. with a headwind i mostly keep the shiny side to leg (facing out), so then when bowling my wrong un, i put the shiny side in my palm so as my wrist turns around the shiny side again faces to leg and looks normal.

    Vettori is awesome!

    .

  • Lol, I can bowl leg spin quite successfully but I can't get the seam to go straight. Ive tried loads of different grips and actions, it just doesn't happen for me :(

  • Try keeping the back of your hand facing west and move your arm u and down it helps with the topspinner or slider then it will be straight

  • it maybe the way ur releasing it out of the hand.

  • i can bowl a googly but I have trouble bowling a leg break!! Help!!

  • hahaha, nice work, thats like being able to run without being able to walk lol... well i guess you could allways be an off-spinner, with a leg spin action, and your googly could become the leggy!!! I'm sure there arn't to many bowlers like that around.

  • mate i had the exact same problem for agesss.. wen i first started playing bakyard criket thats all i kud bowl but i eventually found an unconventional way of leggies in which the same grip is used but the ball is spun out of a hand that is cocked n then jerks towards u its sorta hard to explain but it gets a shit load of spin an gets me wickets

  • Sounds like a variation of the Flipper. That might warrant a suspect action, if i am picturing it right.

  • Wrong-un's a bit like the twist serve in tennis.

  • fuk thats a load of spin at 2:21

  • if macgill had been born to any country other than aus, he would have had at least 400 test wickets.

  • I agree. The second best leg spinner in the world..by miles. Wish he had been English lol

  • stuart mcgill in every clip. he was class.

  • after watching both parts of this video as i have changed from a casual fast bowler to possibly my team best bowler and now i bowl leg break which really makes up for my battin which aint great and also my fielding (my batting average is about 11 highest score 133* it was a really lucky day so dont worry)

  • 2:00 holy cow that was a........... wooooooooooooh what WAS THAT???

  • i think it was Stuart McGill

  • i am a right arm leg-spinner

i can bowl the googly the arm ball the leg break the leg break and the off spinner however i cant seem to get thebig legspinners back in action any tips?

  • spin hard, with all the wrist

  • yeh thts true ive done it

    its pretty cool

  • i love my cricket

  • leg break is the best

  • i am a self taught left arm wrist spinner ( stock delivery turning from outside of into middle and leg) i have all the variations such as the googly slider and top spinner. i havent been bowling that much lately due to footy season startin and ive noticed now im not generating the big ripping leg spinner like i used to . my actions is the same just like warnies, could it be due to lack of bowling time or something else ? i really wanna get back to bowling my huge turning leggies

  • dosent work with me what do i do?

  • practise

  • Off spin is the best one................

  • I bowl of Spin from wide to of Stump!!!

I have A better offspin trick i will make a tutorial on that

  • morning everyone

  • how can you hate richie benaud?!

  • avesome innovative

  • the amount of spin stuart macgill got from that delivery between 2 min 20 sec and 2:23 is insane.

  • he was a left arm leg spinner though, just like brad hogg,

those deliveries will spin into a right handed batsman,

a left arm leg spinners googly will go away from the right hander,

a slow left arm bowlers normal deliver will move away from the right hander, but if you can bowl an arm ball round the wicket, you might be able to replicate a chinam delivery into a right hander, its easier bowling over the wicket as a SLA though.

  • im a left arm offspinner, should i be listening to this stuff for leg spin since im left arm? because everything is opposite?

  • watch off spin tips mate... its the same grip and action just, your armball will be different tho... will swing into right handers and away from left handers. Practise hard and get loads of wickets :D goodluck

  • no just listen to of spin becasuse if your lft arm it's the same but spins the other way

  • its been a month since ive said that, i thought i was a left arm orthodo but really im a left arm wrist spin

  • this video is very interesting n ive watched it several times with me being a leg spinner but my grip is completely different to the 1 u showed on the video. i hold it like a pace bowler with my 2 fingers spread and just turn my wrist do u have any tips 4 me. but i have also foun tht this way allowes me to spin the ball a lot more

  • ive lost my legbreak

  • gud video dude

  • I bowl offspin and this video helped me heaps, I love the game of cricket and now I am getting some pleasing results while having fun, thanks guys:-)

  • I a spinner but i once was a pace bowler and this video was helped ma so much i took 4 for three on the first weekend i bowled spin

  • conciencas a show off hu cares wat u bowl

  • why the hell are people trying to show off by saying. "I am a pure shane warne leg spinner" or saying "believe me I am a fast off spinner". This video is about tips....

  • I am a offspin bowler and have trouble bowling the slider does any one have any tips for that?

  • that guy makes alot of sense
