I've been looking for this for years. It was among other untitled 5 tracks that I found on my mother's reel-to-reel tapes about 15 years ago. They were After The Cosmic Rain - Chick Corea, Rhapsody In Blue - Deodato, The Warlord - Shadows, You Know You Know - Mahavishnu Orchestra and Why - Osibisa. Now I am complete.
Cat name of J Rhodes is trolling as a Santana detractor. But if there weren't a band to make a track like this, we'd have to invent one. World, fusion, rock - this band produces some of the highest points in various section of the local vintage store. Limited technique in the bandleader claims Johnnie - so mistakenly. I will propose him the name of this 3-key capo-clipping mother: Muddy Waters. Care to find flaw, Mr Rhodes? Indeed, able at all to do so? Or, satisfied - to live in shame?
Together with Aspirations and side 2 one of the finest moments of the LP... This is one of the reasons it will always be one of my best loved albums, with Caravanserai, Welcome, Lotus and Illuminations!!! I have 3 vinyl copies so that speaks for itself...
@LievenVP Let the vinyl and the music speak foritself.3 vinyls..what can I say..you win, furthermore ......you are the master.I am a nerd,so are your albums---are they pressed byColumbia (USA) or by CBS... The Netherlands or Great Britain? or in Japan , which are the best?
The thing about Borboletta and the sleeve was it was too much ,so Columbia thought,it was too expensive. to produce, and having these glossy borbolettas. This was Carlos´s first thouhght.......loose and free. CBS was right...Santana had made the deal of his life,,actually the largest deal in history I bellieve it was som. Please correct me if I am wrong, but after Borboletta , 490 million in 1974.
Listened to this for the first time in 1974,bought the album, and still have it.. At that time no artist had ever done an album cover as detailed and as beautiful as this one. Just to see the album cover gives you some idea of what the music will be like, and this track is so relaxing.
...This track may be described as 'chill-out''... but not the album, that term never existed when this music was created... this is music that you would groooove to.... yeah...

Nice track. Too bad it cuts out so abruptly at the end. Thumbs down.

if you have great musicians in your band you can do albums like this. all the members of santana were masters of music.

it is in piece like this one that you realize how pervasive was the influence of Bitches Brew on the music of the 79s...

@popeyenolive you're doing it wrong, listen to the quadraphonic version laid on the floor on LOTS of acid. Then listen to Lotus in the same way!
