  • Great!

  • nice work mate

  • big fan of hellraiser

  • This is somewhat related to the new Hellraiser comic series...pinhead has seen it all and no longer gets enjoyment out of torturing souls he seeks salvation and a chance to be human again

  • WOW.

  • wow.

  • gary tunniclife is an amazing producer writer and director

  • wow. that would be a good ending for the franchise after all the crappy sequels to the great original.

  • Interesting concept, and for a fan film, quite cool. BUt:

    1) Who the hell is Pinhead talking to?

    2) Accent sounds totally wrong for the character.

  • @RingoLoadagain

    1) Himself (he's been alone for ever after all)

    2) I agree

  • Garbage didn't know pinhead turned soft? Come on a poet shakespear? LOL

  • well this was directed by the damn effects designer for the Hellraiser movies. how could this NOT be amazing?

  • Absolute quality!!! You guys have really captured the feel of the Hellraiser movies and I hope you have a mind to make more of these!

  • Wow...great work...at first i was expecting some kind of poor amateur interpretation of official movie, but this was just amazing....btw, thx for sharing, i really enjoy this :)

  • I know this voice from somewhere, who is the guy who plays pinhead?

  • Mate, for a non-featured Hellraiser chapter - really well done. Congrats.

  • I would like to see made into a movie.

  • this was AWESOME!

  • This is a pretty interesting concept for a movie, but This pinhead sucks. Pinhead IS pain. For him to be killed by chatterer is a disgrace. If anyone would do pinhead in it should hjave been the Female cenobite (original female)

Hellraiser is a great franchise because the cenobites are so mysterious.

  • Love this.

  • Ok dude where'd you get the box and why were you fucking with it?

  • Crap. There is no Pinhead but Doug Bradley.

  • @darkallegiance666 gtfo its called a fan film. Crap is what your comment looks like and ignorance is what youre made of.

  • @JavierCarrascoMD That's a little harsh, my dear. Actually, a nice/kind person gave me a link to a Movie site that told of the ideas and background behind this film and therefore I now understand why this film is being made. I do associate Doug Bradley with Pinhead & still will find it difficult to accept another actor, but this film seems to be being made for all the right reasons, so I will be very happy to watch it when it comes to DVD. A little education means a little less ignorance.

  • @darkallegiance666 Doug Bradley IS Pinhead. We agree there :).

  • @JavierCarrascoMD Thanks. : )

  • pinhead losing his hear

  • A very nice non-canonical piece... despite it having nothing in common with the lore, it is very deep and thought-provocative as the originals intended to be and quality-wise, excellent. =) Great fan production.

  • that's awsome, the one thing i don't get though, is if pinhead's in hell, why does he need to open the box, why not just kill himself?

  • @ladyeyeballz83 Eh, it's a fan production, haha.

  • @Zeanu true....fans don't always do their research hahaa, but it was still good :D

  • That was fucking bad ass. I'm so impressed for real

  • Brilliant!!!

  • awesome

  • This is better than the movies!

  • Well that sure explains why Pinheads face was pinned up (no pun intended) on the pillar of souls in the first movie. Great job though, wish the sequels could've been this good.

  • @MetalPharoah @madammelva it is literatly IMPOSSIBLE for it to be worse than Hellseeker. But that's just my opinion.

  • @Darkknight2149 Hellworld. lol

  • Patrick Lussier did this?! As in "Hellraiser's" reboot Patrick Lussier?! Wow.

  • @Darkknight2149 Maybe the franchise can be saved if this is the case.

  • Well done!

  • is anyone else feeling just a little bit excited that the guy who did this Gary J. Tunnicliffe is writing the ninth hellraiser film coming out this year if its anything like this it looking to be awsome heres hoping anyway

  • Well done. And indeed, better than MOST of the sequels.

  • Is this canon?

  • Self indulgent

  • Oh and nice job with this video. As a fan of the Hellraiser series, I enjoyed this short fan-made video.

  • HA!HA!HA! The music at 3:47-3:52 lol

  • Comment removed

  • Old Pinhead: "The sweet su-suffering."

  • I am sorta looking forward to the new Hellraiser movie being made: Revelations. It can't possibly be any worse than Bloodline.

  • @madammelva You mean Hellworld right? It cannot be worse than Hellworld Hellraiser 8.

  • @MetalPharoah

No, in my opinion Bloodline was worse. At least Hellworld had Lance Henrickson who really made the film. :)

  • @madammelva You do have a point. He's a legendary horror icon these days xD

  • hey,

    nice job!

    what was your budget?

  • He got UV mapped!

  • ima make a fan film in 2011-2012 so sub me

  • Perfect , brilliant story , FX was great and the story it self had no flaw ...no better way to kill the one that kills

  • wow... this is really amazing... The actor was great the camera angles, the sets, costumes, effects, the only thing that is kind of a shame is the image quality that is lacking and the sound, sometimes pinhead was hard to understand at times.

    . But wow... Amazing short.

  • Cenobites can indeed be taken by the labyrinth, it happened in one of the films, 2 or 3, I can't remember. The idea goes something like this: The labyrinth is the master and the cenobites are it's minions. Pinhead was the top dog of the cenobites as long as he kept the labyrinth pleased with new souls. When his job was over, it was time for him to go essentially, and let the labyrinth claim it's final soul at last. It was Pinheads personal hell, being bored to death.

  • @randomunavailable I couldn't remember the name of their god, it's called "Leviathan", not the labyrinth, however the labyrinth was indeed under the will of Leviathan, and it was almost alive in and of itself.

Pinhead got bored to death and essentially used the lament configuration to satiate his insatiable desire for sensation, thus fulfilling his deal with Leviathan. Hell always wins.

  • I have a question- what exactly happened and why did the other centobites come to destroy Pinhead? I am asking because it was hard to understand everything Pinhead was saying.....something about he fears that they will not obey their master and then he opened the box and his "buddies" came right at him! It was weird cause you could see that Pinhead looked scared when he saw them.

  • awesome, simply awesome

  • WHOA!

This was better than some of the released versions!

  • Amazing effects and everything. I might be one of the weird people who actually LIKE pinhead and the box in hellraiser but why make a story about the end? The script was good but it didnt really go anywhere. He summoned the cenobites...wait thats himself? So then he dies? But cenobites couldnt die i thought? Wtf! Im confused

  • that was cool!!! I like how PInhead realized there was no one left so he had Bound and that other guy (forgot his name) to take care of business.

  • Very nice!

  • What the fuck?? I thought this was the actual thing! well done! until I saw his face, the fellas abit to chubby to be Pinhead. He also talks to much.

  • I'm impressed

  • This video is very fucking good congrates you guys , you made me happy just watching this , i have all of the movies even in vhs lol

  • Splendid!

  • And as for your picture books... Im not so sure.. I only like the ones Barker wrote.

  • No Venus. Pinhead is not the "Hellraiser" per say... he is what makes it.

  • i dont know what to say i tip my hat to you very very well done....THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE A FUCKN FAN FILM....clive barker would be proud

  • This was better than most of the sequels.

  • @yoobatube how? this was not scary at all.

  • @msg06769 Neither was the sequels - and they were badly made.

  • the sufferrrinnng!

  • better than many of the real films

  • this is excellent. thoroughly enjoyed it.

  • best fan film ever........better then a lot of the newer movies

  • adoro esta série, pena que não tem on line para a gente ver. + valeu gostei muito!

  • which chatterer mask did you use in this???they should make one with the twins again they were scarrrry

  • the atmosphäre was pure sick...amazing what can be done with some programms and cameras

  • better than the original.... the should hire you for a prequal .....

  • is that voldo frm soulcalibur lol??? looks like him the one whos killing the pinhead dude :d

  • nice Gary- better than a couple of the entire hellraiser movies

  • Nice effects and acting but I didnt like the story well done though,

  • Sounds like a depressing Darth Vader

  • Excellent. The most fitting ending for Pinhead that I've ever seen. Better than Hellraiser IV.

  • wow..good job.=)

  • "venusboy3" you damn retard, make your own fucking movie, and quit that emo bullshit

  • @Tjumi

    Why be personally insulting?

If you really had a point I'd think you'd find a better way to express it.

  • OMG Pinhead is an emo!!!

  • is this actually by the orginal FX people?

  • Cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What's dumb about it?

  • The opening idea is kind of interesting... but he is just spouting a bunch of self-pitying blather.

Also, why do people always assume Pinhead is the leader of the cenobites?

Why do all Hellraiser vids HAVE to have Pinhead and the box in them?

Have you ever read the comics? LOTS of really good Hellraiser stories without boxes or Pinhead.

The end is... nothing. Some cenobites rush in and stab him? Cut him up? That's bland slasher movie stuff... not particularly imaginative or Hellraiser-ish.

  • I know Hellraiser isn't all about the box and Pinhead, but I don't see what's wrong with using them. It was probably cheaper to use already existing designs and costumes anyway, the same goes for Pinhead's demise, something more complex was probably too expensive for a low-budget short film.

  • There's nothing 'wrong' with using them... but it's become cliche. Like if every vampire in every movie had to wear a cape like Bela Lugosi.

I don't think money is the issue... what they've done here looks fine. But the look is really all it's got going for it, in my opinion.

There are other themes that could be explored... they don't all require great FX or makeup either.

I suppose I should just go make my own Hellraiser short. I'm sure folks will complain when there isn't any Pinhead.

  • The book came before the movies and the movies came before the comics. While in the original novel, Pinhead was not the main cenobite, the comics are more based off of the movies. In the movies, it is very obvious that Pinhead is the leader, especially in the credits when he is referred as "The Lead Cenobite." He is also known as the Prince of Pain and the Black pope of Hell. This fan made short is based off of the movies, not the comics, which cannot be considered cannon to the original films.

  • I don't know where you get the 'Prince of Pain' and 'Black Pope of Hell' stuff from... but if you're happy with Pinhead and the other cenobites being reduced to mere clones of Freddy Kruger, Jason Voorhees and other shoddy 'franchises' then go right ahead.

  • I never said anything about Freddy krueger or Jason Voorhees or being "reduced" to anything, I was only stating that this short film was based off of the movies, which focus on Pinhead being the lead figure. He became the icon of the films.

  • I agree Pinhead became the lead focus of the films... and that that's why he's the focus here. But I think that is one of the main weaknesses of the films... that it made him into a run-of-the-mill boogieman franchise... repeating the same overused elements.

This short is not particularly imaginative in that it doesn't attempt anything beyond those same bland cliches.

  • Pinhead is the main focus of the film, and was in fact, what made the films so popular, and was not a drawback. Originally Julia was supposed to be the main villain in the series. It's your opinion if you do not like him. I have to agree with you however, that passed the second movie, he became a slasher villain and destroyed the series.

  • You misunderstand me, I really like Pinhead... he's a great character. I like the box too...

I'm just saying that they've been weakened from over use and that future Hellraiser installments/fan films/whatever might do well to consider using them very sparingly or using other elements of the mythology without them.

  • a agree completely I loved the first two films but they went downhill when they made pinhead the focus. The story should be the focus regardless of the characters. Clive Barker understood that when he wrote the book

  • @PlatinumPickled I think part 5 was when it came full circle to a slasher film though. Up through bloodline it still had a taste of what made hellraiser great. I'm hoping in the remake Clive goes back closer to his hellbound heart novella and omits pinhead from the lineup.

  • The idea of including other cenobites is a great idea, but most people would not respond well otherwise. it would be like making a Halloween movie without Micheal Myers. They did, and no one liked the movie, so they returned him in the fourth installment.

  • Plenty of folks liked Halloween III, it was a good horror film and genuinely weird.

I'm saying that it weakens the franchise if you make the movies to appeal to the lowest denominator... namely the fans who want to see all Pinhead/Freddie/Michael, all the time.

They were ALL much more powerful when they were used in small quantities.

Hellraiser films should never have been allowed to become synonymous with Pinhead... just like how Silent Hill isn't all about Pyramid Head.

  • I agree with you on that point. Hellraiser was much better when Pinhead and the cenobites were still in the background shrouded in mystery. This is why only the first 2 movies were any good. However, you can't compare Silent Hill to Hellraiser. Pyramid head does not have a legacy, and Pinhead was always the lead figure.

  • Of course, I think the other cenobites added to his image, and without them, he stole the show, which I can agree with you on, was not fair and in turn, made him look like a cheap slasher villain.

  • @venusboys3 uhmmm... Hellraiser is Pinhead. Are you even alive?

  • @sparky244

Obviously I disagree... and many of the good stories from the comics can attest to the fact that you can have a perfectly good 'Hellraiser' story without including Pinhead. The 'Hellraiser' mythology is bigger and more interesting than any one character. Insisting on certain repeated elements unnecessarily constrains its potential.

.... or are you saying that 'Hellraiser' is actually a reference to a character... namely Pinhead? I'd disagree with that too...

  • Great work Gary and crew. Wonderful dialogue. Proves that producers should trust their fx people.

  • There's no 'dialogue' in it... it's a short monologue... and kind of dull at that.

  • amazing

  • You have to release flesh and blood before you know who create this but before that you sometimes think who´s fault this is.

  • no everything is gone and everyone too no one to hunt down

  • dude what about the people in hell?

    aren´t they any fun torturing?

    or is every1 in heaven?

  • SWEEEET!

  • this is class

  • Bloody Flippin Brilliant!!!

  • maybe you should have directed the hellraiser movies from four and after.

  • i have never seen a hellraiser movie before, but i m about to do soon, cause of you

  • He was tired of living.

  • Killer!!!

  • This was well done. The creators should be very proud.

  • Thht was fantastic.. A real tribute to Hellraiser. Well Done Guys! I Glued me to the seat, Loved the Monologue! Very Creative! Portrayed Pinhead Perfectly :)

  • Now that was better than all the films after the Original Hellraiser. Damn boneheads tried to get all fancy........

  • Amazing video.

  • Bravo! That was well done!

  • awsome yet sad

  • Holy hell that was awesome. It was perfect, and a little sad.

  • you guys are awesome do more

  • very well done. nice little What If scenario and I can see this as being completely in character. two thumbs up

  • OMG, that was awesome. Hate to see "The Man" go down like that, but cool as f$&k. Well done.

  • Nice. Not overdone...Less is indeed more! Surprisingly good...but killing him off like he was a prisoner in jail getting shanked....hmmmm

  • Pinhead never dies. It's just a new thrill. I think anyway. But how can a something not real in the sense of flesh really die? Pinhead will always be alive in my heart muhahahahahaahah

  • FUCKING WIN.

  • good grief!

that was pretty god for a friggin fan movie

    kudos

  • uh? pinhead would have never died

  • he could if he wanted to

he just walted it to end on his own terms instead of waiting for his minions to rebel

  • Pinhead missed the true sence of suffering with all its sweetness. With no more souls to harvest, with waiting through time for the re-emergence of the human race, that in itself would be his ultimate pleasure. The suffering of the self. It is said if you look into the Abyss long enough, the Abyss will look back at you. Pinhead was looking into the Abyss and the Abyss did look back at him but not in the way he expected. Sometimes silence can be the loudest cry of all.

  • desire has abondoned him.

    Eviscera

  • now that truly made me sad, poor Pinhead

  • There's a touch of The Giving Tree in this.

  • loved it.You should make a whole movie and stick to the way the fans loved the first movies

I would love to act in one.Good job

  • nice job

  • Excellent!

  • Very well done. An interesting an original concept as well.

  • wtf gimme the box lol damn great work

  • I don't get it. Pinhead is depressed and old becuase humans have been wiped out so theres no more people left for him to torture? What about the millions of people suffering in Hell already? Did they dissapear? and this is Hellraiser- it breaks established realms, it features other dimensions, who says it has to end with Earth? There are potentially millions of other planets out there with inhabitants for the Cenobites to torture. Not well thought out, but a well made fan film nonetheless.

  • See, this is a good short film, and has brilliant effects and make up, but I don't see why they'd kill Pinhead off in such a puss-fashion. Like, he's THE general of hell's army or some shit, and he gets ripped apart by HIS minion-bitches? C'mon. I don't see it happening...

  • we don't know when this happened. it could be thousands of years after the holocaust.

  • looks good but freddy and pinhead they just dont look right when someone else is playing them lol thats why Myers leatherface and jason films easier to do :) buy still nice work!

  • Thank you to the few people who correctly pointed out that this short movie is an easter egg on the Hellraiser Deader DVD. I have that DVD from Netflix right here and tried it.

  • this is better than prophecy

  • dude i love it excellent work heha niccccee.

  • It's Voldo from Soul Calibur!!!

  • In the hellbound heart (the original hellraiser novella) Frank is trapped in the wall in the heirophants (or cenobites) dimension, and is being tortured or pleasured for eternity before managing to escape them. It is also made clear in the novella that Frank is only one of a number of souls to have been imprisoned by the cenobites some of whom have no means of escape and are thus trapped for eternity.t

  • good job

  • Technicaly a good film but the concept sucks. Just because all the people on earth are dead wouldn't mean there were no more souls in hell, isn't the suffering of hell supposed to be eternal? If everyone on earth died at the same time Pinhead wouldn't be bored he would be working overtime for eternity. oh, and why did the other cenobites just stab him? that was pretty weak.

  • With all due respect, I don't think you get the Hellraiser universe. You're concentrating too much on a traditional Judeo-Christian idea of Hell/damnation/suffering .This is what is meant when Pinhead utters the line "(We're) demons to some, angels to others" in the first film. The Cenobites are basically these enigmatic entities from another realm who happen to be called "demons" by us humans because they're activities are usually harsh and disturbing. They're only "evil" in a relative sense.

  • High, thanks for replying to my comment, actualy i do get the hellraiser universe, i'm a big clive barker fan and have seen all the hellraiser films several times i have also just finnished rereading the hellbound heart. in hellraiser 2 doesn't pinhead say to kirsty "we have eternity to know your flesh"? also in the original hellraiser the lament configuration is also a gateway to other demonic dimensions besides the realm of cenobites so why couldn't pinhead explore these rather than giving up

  • Good point. On another note, though I love the first couple of Hellraiser films, they are no where near as interesting as the world Barker suggests in his writings. They're all kinda cheap looking and they always fall short of the fantastic realm the characters just sorta talk about. To make a proper Hellrasier film you need an adequate budget and a director with not only a powerful vision (Barker certainly has that) but the balls to pull it off. Someone like Alexjandro Jodorowsky, for example.

  • I hear ya brother, let's hope mr Barker finaly gets round to releasing the long overdue scarlet gospels and that the upcoming hellraiser remake delivers on the goods.

  • Great since its fake, but u screwed couple of FAN NOTICABLE stuff... his nails are way 2 short when he pulls it out of the head :D They are at least 10 cm long :d

  • lol pinhead gained some weight

    Great job!

  • This is a sad moment in hell..
