I feel blessed to have been introduced to Guru and Premier at a young age. while watchin 411 video mag's "best of volume 1" of Eric Kosten's session to this track, I gained a true love for real hip hop. R.I.P. to a true artist, and positive role model to me while growing up.
I used to play this track all the time. Before the 3rd verse is played, I used to say to Guru, "How's life treatin' you?" Then the track rolls to the verse sayin', "Life's a bitch!"
R.I.P to the god Guru. This is my favorite Gang Starr album of all time. This is a classic. This album is so timeless, only true hip hop heads understand my appreciation towards this work of art. This album should have gotten a 5 mic rating from the " Source " magazine.
"I try keepin my sanity, by thinking of better times, if I write clever rhymes then maybe I'll climb".... Man you are not hearing lyrics like this anymore!! RIP Guru. Miss you black man..
Guru New Music is Classic! Check out the 7Grand Channel. Yo How many of these Haters Pointin out Solar is in the gangstarr skillz video! Guru did so much great great
muisc these haters don't want you to hear. Think for yourselves and check out Guru's work outside of gangstarr. You will be shocked how good it is. Guru and Bob Marley how
wow. i memba being in high school when daily operation came out. high quality production by premo n guru dropping science n giving u a birds eye view of life n the big apple.
Daily operation has to be............. one of THEE most underated long players, a proper long player. KMD were slept on back in the day too........ I hope more people find this history lesson right here........I was engrossed in this album when it came out, deep cerebral originality. Timeless is where music is heading now, the folks are wising up.
Peace to all who connect to these beats an rhymes.
Thank God for REAL Hip Hop.
