@Gamingend You could have a look at using bend modifier first to see if this works, or further compound objects such as Conform and ShapeMerge. Look at the documentation for these to see how they work and one of the suggestions should hopefully work how you want it to.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG TTTTTTHHHHHHAAAAAAAANNNNNKKKK YOU SO MUCH I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS FOR WEEEEEEKS!!!!
@TheBlakeWilliamson Blender would probably have the same procedures but just slightly different steps. I'm not a Blender user but there are plenty of resources out there for this application. Otherwise maybe someone will point you in the right direction. Alternatively if you are a student you could get the version of 3D Max 2011 which is currently free for educational use.
@audayhussain2 I think the next tutorial will be on setting up an environment for reference images (character modelling) and using the symmetry modifier. I'm a bit busy at the moment but it will be by next week.
can you tell me please how can you render two camera at the same scene for example the camera 1 look for a box from above from frame 0-50 the a camera 2 look for the same box from side from frame 51-100 at the same scene and render at the same time can we do this??
@audayhussain2 You could look into using Video Post which is on the render menu. Video Post, amongst other things allows multiple camera views to be rendered and saved as an .avi etc as one continuous render. I prefer to render out individual frames as .png files for animations and then combine them through video post though.
It will always depend on your skills and portfolio, and maybe a little bit of who you know :)
If you have a degree in any subject, do you have the skills and portfolio to go with the qualification, as that is the part that would count when working for anyone.
Unless someone has a different view on this matter.
What is the polygon model that you are trying to boolean the text from? If it's a simple model have you tried recreating it from a spline shape? You may also want to try the ProBoolean command to see if this makes any difference. Its pretty much the same as Boolean but with some additional features.
Have you tried the pro-boolean command? Maybe this would help you. If you provide a bit more info maybe I can help more. What is the model you have created? Have you applied multiple boolean commands onto the mesh causing some kind of conflict? Let me know as much as you can and we may be able to work it out.
Ohhh, some fonts don't work well within Max. It must be something to do with the way they are constructed. Max is using them in a way they weren't intended although I'm not an expert on fonts so couldn't comment on the correct construction of a font. Glad you worked it out in the end. I had this trouble once before and work around it without thinking about it now.
Is there a problem saving the file, or is it that you save the file and it doesn't display correctly? I usually go with the setting in PNG at 24-bit (not 48-bit) with no alpha channel unless I need to go into PhotoShop for further post work.
Is there a way to make the text follow the object's shape? For example on a sphere.

I want to move an object into another, so it merges the two objects but cuts out into the shape. How?

Does anyone have any thoughts about whether people with a degree in Digital Animation have a big advantage over self taught animators?

I'm trying to easily cut out text in an editable poly model that doesn't result in the text to be a hole inside the model
Selecting all the edges, shift-move, cap holes takes too long and too often doesn't work well. Is there a better way marcusdesigns?
