I have had so much bad luck with roommates! I'm hoping my third year things will go better! My first year my roommate only wanted to be friends with people that were in her church group she went to. Then my second year I lived with 2 people I knew and one of their cousins and they all went home EVERY weekend! One even lived 2.5 hours away. It was so boring!

For me I have been pretty lucky in the roomate areas. I have only lived with dudes. (I never lived in dorms) They're personality kind of matched mine so we never really clashed. The only issue they really had with me was I tend to leave my makeup out

1 of my suitemates was a thief. She stole from the entire school the whole semester. Her room was so stuffed, it took police 3 days to clear it out! They found a life preserver from the pool, boxes full from the bookstore, misc computer parts from the pc lab, signs from campus, cooking stuff from the cafe & the biggie...a cash register!

definitely set rules and talk about what bugs everybody the first day! i had the worst roommate experience EVER! we lived in the same room and neverrrrrrr talked. so awkward. if you don't get along with someone, do yourself a favor and switch roommates in the beginning while you can. you will not grow to like them. trust me. at the end of the year, we moved out early because we were about to kill each other. communication the FIRST DAY is key!

I had a horror roommate TWICE I switched schools a lot cause I was indecesive but she was bitchy and she told the RA There was Alcohol in my fridge and we weren't like loud or anything it was just some kahula for hot chocolate and I got fined huge amount and everyone in the dorm hall hated her for that so she moved out. I was of age but that didnt matter. My credits are all messed up from transferring so this is my 5th year....my last year and im renting a apartment with my fiance!! Thank god.
