Huge thanks to whoever found this clip. I've been looking for it for ages as everytime I have needed to teach the unit to small kiddies, across the world, about healthy eating, I find myself recalling and singing this dittie. It was a favourite of mine as a kid and can't wait to share it now with mu new class.
I like to sing this in the shower. They still show it in Perth every few years. Does anyone have the one with all the kitchen knives etc wanting to, 'Get Cha"? BEEEEEE OOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Hahaha this is awesome! I'm 31 and I remember seeing this a million times after primary school every day. I've been telling my gf about this but said she doesn't know it. I'm from Perth and now live in qld. Wasn't this shown in qld? Thanks for the video mate!
I still sing along to this! This ad got a hammering on SES8 throughout the South East of South Australia. Hi rotation straight after school! Thanks for the memories!!
These were really clever, fun, quality announcements the folk at Channel 9 Perth made. My generation all still remembers fondly the words to these songs. With all the carry on thse days about banning this and that from children's viewing times, maybe we can instead educate kids through FUN messages like this to get kids to use their own judgement about making healthy choices. Geez, we are so serious these days.
No chance, unless someone has it on video. I spoke with some rude woman from Channel 9 who told me they don't lend out their tapes, and the National Film and Sound Archive doesn't have these ads either.
Oh yeah, I remember those other ads ("Power points, we're gonna zap ya"). Surely someone can find these ones!!??? That "don't eat dirt" advert really got to me as a kid and I always remembered to wash my hands and not "eat dirt"!!! :-)
Awesome! I used to think this ad was Australia wide until I moved over east and no one had heard of it. I used to sing it to my wife who is from newcastle and she thought I was crazy
Absolutely AWESOME. Some 25-27 years on and I was still singing along (in my head for fear of the people around me sending for the men in white).
Does anyone have a link to ..... "dingalings do stupid things, they don't think of others at all, they're dopes and bullys with the trouble they bring, that's what we call dingalings........"
I remember this!! Channel 9 in Adelaide also showed this one a lot during whatever C'mon Kids was called before it was C'mon Kids (I forget that but I remember the Vitamin ad ... go figure!)
Did Mr G. write Vitamin Ds part?

Thank you SO much.
You have almost the whole series, except my favourite, which was banned for being too scary, We're All Around and Gonna Get Ya!
"Swimming pools, we're gonna drown ya". "Power points, we're gonna zap ya". "Knives, we're gonna cut ya".
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you have access to this one upload it.
Cheers greatly appreciated.
From the other side of the world.
