"Do unbelievers not see that the heavens and the earth were sewn together, and then we unstitshed theme..." Qur'an ( surat al Anbiya, 30).
if time's beginning is concurrent with the beginning of the universe, as the space-theorem says, then the cause of universe must be same entity operating in a time dimensioncompletely independentof and preexistent to the time dimensionof the cosmos. this conclusiontells us that God is notthe universeitselfnor is god contained within the universe. (Hugh Ross)
I wonder how many people will close their eyes and feel the divine love that radiates through this man. What he is saying is important, but his calm loving manner, and his gentle smile I find so inspiring. It's like he has a secret in his heart -and it's the deepest bliss of all, and he wants us to feel it too.
I agree with the ontological statements here 100%. I've noticed that many Mahayanists & also some Hindus falsely interpret the concept of transient existence as meaning non-existence, and I have the same contempt for this egregious philosophical mistake that you say Ramakrishna had. As for parallel universes, I frame this concept rather in terms of the great many stratified layers of the Spirit world, corresponding to infinite kinds of conciousness that find their homes there.
