well i am NOT a pro but i put in the same graphics card for my pc.

This card requires a PCI slot.

I think i would get some more ram but u maybe ok. (i have 2 gb)

and the card requires at least a 200w power supply. (mine is a 230w.)

and make sure u have the software for it.

and u need to know what bit your pc is when u go to download the software. It is either 32bit or 64bit. U can download the 32bit software on a 64bit pc but u can't do that the other way around.

Dx10 hasn't even been properly used yet, If you take a graphics heavy game like Crysis for example, Play it in Dx10, then Dx9, They will look pretty much the same except play better on Dx9.

Not only that, but anything that can be done in Dx10 will probably work in Dx9.

I got a Amd athlon dual core processor running at 2.7 (thats 2*2.7) and 2 Ati radeon 3850 using the dual video cards setting i get 60 fps at the highest settings. At 1680x1080 but soft smoker drops the fps by 10 so Im using a sligthly more stable setting and turned off the soft smoke. Now I get 56 minimum 89max and 61avg I'm pleased with it because it because the whole spec only costed me 350bucks (350$) not too shabby for a budget spec.

It plays on my rig with the ati radeon 2400 pro 256mb vram with a pentimium D 2.8ghz processors. and 2gb of ram. It doesn't run great but it works.
