  • @12345676449 Have you not seen that she has a good lower body on her? Curves = muscle when you're fairly lean (I'm guessing 15-16%). I would venture to guess that you only understand bodybuilding by way of the Muscle and Fitness magazine and are unfamiliar with functional fitness.

  • I'm so glad to see someone doing the legs out thing. I do my first warm up set with my legs out, but worry that it might be bad for my back, with the rest I don't generally bother.

    Also work to keep legs perfectly straight through the whole set...the feet started off real nice and high then dropped a bit.

    I do these as long as my abs hold out (they always go before my back/arms) then switch to just knees up.

  • Wow! That is impressive. I've been working out for almost 35 years, and I'm a recent convert to bodyweight training. I haven't been to the gym in three months; in that time I've lost 10 pounds without even trying, my pullups have doubled, and whereas doing pushups used to hurt my shoulders, I'm now pain free. And watching you do those pullups just gave me a jolt of inspiration! Thanks!

  • she's in awesome shape, and one reason why it's hard for men, is more often then not, as they gain strength, they gain weight from increased muscle mass, making the pullups harder.

    We do this at my martial art(we ad getting punched in the stomach, but well) and i think 3 out of the 20 guys is able to do this. This would be 1 white belt(3 years proud white belt holder XD), 1 (3th) brown belt and an orange belt. Meaning only 1/3 black belts can do this. I'll show them this, it will make them work harder :D

  • This is just absolutley amazing.. im 15 and i can barely do 20 pushups.. and ive been trying and trying for months and only increased by like a pushup.. any pointers?

    try them on your knees first, and do several sets of these. (search on youtube- there will be a decent demonstration of knee pushups somewhere, although they are fairly self-explanatory.)

    Once you've acomplished this, return to normal push ups, it should help. Or, do 2 sets of 10 normal pushups, change er up if it isn't working for you, man. GL

  • Very well done, I think your range of motion is perfect, going all the way as is suggested will place the strain on the joints instead of on the muscle, not to mention that you are stopping with your muscle instead of with your joints. Very well done, from here I would try to straighten your legs but I doubt this will detract from your max.

  • hey i used to be able to do 21 of these using two fingers on the gym bench press benches but now i can only do 15 l chin ups using my entire hand.

  • i do these sometimes. i like to do what i would call, "gymnastic" workouts. i don't use weights and it's all natural things like isometrics, push ups, pull ups, sprinting, human flags, and bubkas (which i would recommend using for lower abdominals and shoulders). i think that exercises like these are the keys to making everyone as natural and fit as needed.

  • Danielle is really strong. She has even greater potential. She will realize more of that potential if she trains with greater discipline and begins each pullup from full extension, in a "dead hang" position. It helps to train with the mindset that each pullup is the first and last...doing them as though each one were the only one that is going to be attempted. Full range of motion Danielle.

  • Thank you for the tip. I actually have been practicing my dead-hang pullups I've gotten pretty good at them. Also keep in mind that all the videos where I'm wearing black and red were all done the same day within a 1-2 hour time span. However, it's a bad habbit to make excuses for short comings. So I will post a video of me doing some deadhangs real soon. Again thank you for the constructive criticism it is always appreciated at the pillar of truth!

If you want you can type in "thepillaroftruth" and within our videos we do have one of her doing pull ups, however, we do not have one of her doing chin ups yet, For most pull ups tend to be a bit harder than chin ups due to hand placement... We both plan on posting more videos in the near future and I'm sure she would not mind adding chin ups in an upcoming video.

    It is an exercise that def. turns heads. And I know first hand, you have to be strong to do that.
