Secondly, I was commenting on people that spend time seeking out clips of worship services, Thirdly, I'm a preacher too and have been for years. I've taken a lot of abuse off of people that called themselves church folk. I love Pastor Black. I didn't say it was a joke for somebody to swing on him. I didn't say the Holy Spirit caused, or motivated anybody to run up on the preacher like that.
If you watch the video from the beginning, it should be clear to you that the spirit of God was on this man. He could've been thinking about the words being sung, and applying them to his life. Simply put, he was probably reflecting on what God has brought him through, or done for him. In all actuality, we don't know the story behind this man's praise...who are we to judge?
John 3:8 says The wind blows where it wants, and you hear the sound thereof, but can not tell from where it comes, and where it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:11 says For what man knows the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knows no man, but the Spirit of God.
No one knows how the spirit of God will move on a person. I seen this before and often the person can't explain why they did afterwards.

There are times when the spirit of discernment does kick in and those that are blood washed believers know what is not of God. My admission that this type of praise was common when I was a boy would hardly influence most of you, but maybe this will. Those who confess Christianity, I challenge you to think about what you write here. This is a ministry that reaches millions of people all over the world. What kind of effect do you think negative comments and useless debates will have on the saved and those who need to be ministered to?

I've been to plenty of Baptist churches like that... There is no harm in it! Thats what I like best about it, them Baptist Misfits... I've had a couple of them with my COGIC self. Sometimes you just don't know what to do you so happy you just go crazy to no beat at all! Clear the way!
very emotional church... ive seen this before...and ive noticed it happens when they sing those old spiritual church songs... people go through so much.. those songs breaks you down emotionally.. i dont think the folk/person is with the devil or demons..emotional out-break... if that makes any sense.......

Ain't nuth wrong with that man he just got happy and it appeared aggresive. He didn't mean no harm. My dad taps preachers on the shoulder when he agrees with them.. but when he's about to shout that tap turns into a slap and they do him the same way as they did the man to try to get him to sit down (and my daddy does not have a demon). How can u guys come to the conclusion that that man had no demonic spirit in him? U must really ask God for a spirit of discernment, because the demonic spirit will act out of character. At 1:59 is when the "shift" came and when the man in the grey suit came down. If you notice after he got a few taps on his back it was as if an angel was pushing him back. Note that the other men didn't even lay a hand on him until he was going backwards. This was definitely a demon. You have to watch his movements even before he went down there. There was deliverance going on in this service. Thank God for deliverance!!

but i have to ask, the next time someone approaches me (sometimes running down the isle towards me) while i am singing and/or playing the organ, and attempts to lift me up or start hitting me on the shoulder and back and saying things like "go head boy" , "alright boy, "say that boy" should i stop singing and say, " get away from me you demon or i rebuke you evil spirit?"

The Holy Spirit works differently in everyone especially when life's burdens gets heavy. If this man was not in the spirit there would have been evidence within Jerry Black and not the other preacher trying to be a lineman. I remember at church years ago, I was so in the spirit, I don't remember anything that went on. But, after coming to myself, members of the church asked me was I okay, that my daughter had also gotten happy in the Lord, and she had stomped on my foot with spike heels, over and over again. There was no pain, no heel marks, whatsoever. When you are truely in the spirit, you are out of it. Now there is a difference in being in the spirit (spiritual) and being emotinal (flesh).
I also love the way the saints of God, don't worry abou hair, clothes, makeup and what others think or say. This is old time chuch in the finest. Surely Pastor Black is a spirit filled man, serving the Lord in spirit and in truth. The man that hit the man of God, let's pray for him, if he was in the spirit, God bless him; but if he was jealous or filled with a demonic spirit, only God knows.
We don't need security and armour bearers for spirit filled children of God, but for robbers ad hyprocrites. The children of God have "angels" protecting them from evil. Everyone in church is not saved. I have seen some strange things in chuch that have nothing to do with God nor the Holy Spirit.

My church is up in New Hampshire and its culture is way different - people are dead silent during the service. It's really Puritan. But as long as Christ is celebrated, people can celebrate and worship however they wish or are moved.

I'll clarify..The man was singer "The Potter House" by Tremaine and Walter Hawkins..One of his sister got excited, and she ran up behind him screaming, jumped on his back(she slid off), but she still had her arms around his body which is what pulled him to the ground..They peeled her off of him, and he got up, never missing a note..I ain't saying she was in the spirit, she was being very dramatic in my opinion..But I was just testifying to the fact that I've seen it..I would never do it.

You have to watch closely this man was in the pulpit he left the pulpit ran toward Dr. Black and then when the deacon tried to stop him he shoved the deacon back. I can't see this being spirit lead because the Holy Spirit doesn't behave itself unseemingly. He a GOD of order.

There are times when the spirit of discernment does kick in and those that are blood washed believers know what is not of God. But do tell us.....what would cause such a reaction from a man who was initially standing in the pulpit with the other ministers?

very emotional church... ive seen this before...and ive noticed it happens when they sing those old spiritual church songs... people go through so much.. those songs breaks you down emotionally.. i dont think the folk/person is with the devil or demons..emotional out-break... if that makes any sense.......

Ain't nuth wrong with that man he just got happy and it appeared aggresive. He didn't mean no harm. My dad taps preachers on the shoulder when he agrees with them.. but when he's about to shout that tap turns into a slap and they do him the same way as they did the man to try to get him to sit down (and my daddy does not have a demon). He just got happy thats all. (now somebody could use this to get at the pastor though lol i don't think this is the case.

How can u guys come to the conclusion that that man had no demonic spirit in him? U must really ask God for a spirit of discernment, because the demonic spirit will act out of character. At 1:59 is when the "shift" came and when the man in the grey suit came down. If you notice after he got a few taps on his back it was as if an angel was pushing him back. Note that the other men didn't even lay a hand on him until he was going backwards. This was definitely a demon. You have to watch his movements even before he went down there. There was deliverance going on in this service. Thank God for deliverance!!

The Holy Spirit works differently in everyone especially when life's burdens gets heavy. If this man was not in the spirit there would have been evidence within Jerry Black and not the other preacher trying to be a lineman. This is real church, OOOOOH, wish I had been in service!!! I wouldn't have a religion I couldn't feel sometimes. It is hard to be dignified and sanctified at the same time. I remember at church years ago, I was so in the spirit, I don't remember anything that went on. But, after coming to myself, members of the church asked me was I okay, that my daughter had also gotten happy in the Lord, and she had stomped on my foot with spike heels, over and over again. There was no pain, no heel marks, whatsoever. When you are truely in the spirit, you are out of it. Now there is a difference in being in the spirit (spiritual) and being emotinal (flesh).

My church is up in New Hampshire and its culture is way different - people are dead silent during the service. It's really Puritan. But as long as Christ is celebrated, people can celebrate and worship however they wish or are moved.

I'll clarify..The man was singer "The Potter House" by Tremaine and Walter Hawkins..One of his sister got excited, and she ran up behind him screaming, jumped on his back(she slid off), but she still had her arms around his body which is what pulled him to the ground..They peeled her off of him, and he got up, never missing a note..I ain't saying she was in the spirit, she was being very dramatic in my opinion..But I was just testifying to the fact that I've seen it..I would never do it.

You have to watch closely this man was in the pulpit he left the pulpit ran toward Dr. Black and then when the deacon tried to stop him he shoved the deacon back. I can't see this being spirit lead because the Holy Spirit doesn't behave itself unseemingly. He a GOD of order.

hahahahaha... i have been in the church since age 9 and i know when something get GOOOOOT... make you wave yo hanky... pat someone on the back... hi-five somebody... BUT... throw my fists... push the deacons... hahahahahaha... never... i have threw my hanky at the musician especially if the B3 hummmming... hahahahahaha... but whatever... i've seen the HOLY GHOST move all over the buidling... but to swing at the preacher, singer or sinner... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... hahahaha!

"hahaha"??? ok...well enough said there! So how old are you now?... I think the use of "hahaha" speaks for itself!
You may have been in the church since the age of 9, but obviously you have had a limited experience with the presence of the holy spirit and how it moves individually.
If I were you, I would be carefully in making judgements about someones actions or reactions as it relates to the working and the power of the holy spirit.
Just some friendly biblical advice.

Totally confused... okay look at :27 the Minister in the beige suit moves towards the pulpit... (this is the same guy fighting him)....at 1:18 the minister turns away and doing "something"... Then when Rev. Black start saying "he'll carry you through..." the minister moves again forward....1:55 the walks off as he's offended...2:04 he appears in rage... HOLY GHOST? DEMON? MENTAL DISTURBANCE?

LOL! you totally have no understanding of what was happening as evidenced by your "desciption"...
This is probably a futile effort but here goes:
As I have stated before, the minister simply "got happy", "felt the holy spirit", "shouted"...whatever phrase you wish
to you use.
This happens all of the time in some churches and in fact it is quite common in churches with a minister who uses this style of preaching.
