Global warming is not real

You can not deny global warming. It is a fact. No one except someone with absolutely no facts would say that. The only thing you could debate is how much of it is human, and it is proven that most of it is.

It is true, the Earth warms and cools periodically. It goes almost directly along with Carbon levels. Temperature starts to go up, the Carbon goes up, speeding up the process. Then it cools back down. This time period is different, because Carbon levels are way higher than they ever have been in world history, and this warming period has lasted a lot longer than any other. It should be cooling, but it is still going gradually up.

Obama plans to raise taxes for the rich. He will get rid of many government programs which aren't really doing anything besides eating up our money. Yes, a bit of your money will be going to bums who sit on their asses all day. More of it will be going to people with mental disorders who need help as well as poor people who will use that money to lift themselves up out of poverty.

I hate to disappoint you but the government can't stop poverty. We have had social programs since the 1930's and we still have poverty. Do you what to know the secret of ending poverty? Obama (Messiah) and a government program does not end poverty education and capitalism ends poverty.

there was this guy that i read about and sold everything he had and gave all his money away except $20. he lived with it and got more money because he had a JOB!!! now he has around $2000 in his bank. he did this just to prove a point. people with jobs don't need government help. they work on their own. they don't waste their time on the streets using money they got from people WITH jobs buying illegal drugs. and these are the people our money is going to.

I don't want to argue about some guy, but he obviously had an education. Otherwise, he probably wouldn't have cared about making that point. The people our money is going to are people not priveledged enough to have had oppurtunities or education. Yes, some are just sitting on the asses, smoking, but others are using this money to pull themselves up, in the American dream, which is still possible, although threatened, in this great country we live in.

well it would be better if people could just get a job? can you explain why some people are lazy or just too stupid enough to not get a job? thats why they are where they are now. if they wanted a good job they would have been serious about school, but instead they decided to blow off their only cgance of actually getting a good job.

Definitely true of some people, still, your IQ is something you can't control. You're leaving people out because of the way you were born. And anyway, another common reason is that they just didn't have the opportunity of a good education. Perhaps that is something you take for granted. It is not. Again, you are penalizing people with things that they cannot control.

Why would we need to cut down more forest to plant corn? You're too young to know that we've been stock piling corn for years. The government pays farmers not to grow corn. A bounus you won't learn in science class: we only need the starch from the corn to make ethanol,and since cows (who can't digest starch)wouldn't miss it and would get the rest of the nutrients from whats left, everybody wins. If you didn't know this, cows are the biggest consumers of corn. We call it FEED! Do some homework!

During the Republican Convention as I watched, they broke out into a chant of "DRILL MORE, DRILL MORE, DRILL MORE" Which really brings home the message of what matters to them. I heard no chants of "lets try and repair the damage to the environment", "lets fix the economy bush screwed up" , or "Lets stop the trillion dollare WAR effort".

Wow. This proves that liberals want America to suffer with high gas prices. Guess what domestic drilling will do... Increase supply and reduce the price of oil. It will also create jobs! Oil makes MONEY! YES! Those big, bad oil companies, with their INSANE 10% profit margin! You heard it from the kid: The only way to get off of oil is through extortion and inflated gas prices. Keep the prices up and force the people into a world where cars run on rainbows.
