I also bought this for my 5-year old for Christmas. He has put it together and taken it apart a couple of times. Very cool toy. And I DID NOT spend $90 (ridiculous). I bought it at Meijer's on sale about a week after Thanksgiving and including a family member's employee discount, I spent $45. My son plays with this toy everyday (so does my husband). lol.

Awsome review havent found many who like this Prime but i do. I didnt fold out the top wings just the main ones and its close to the movie and that good enough for me.

There is ONE DOTM Prime figure that beats this one for movie accuracy, DOTM Battle Blades Optimus Prime and Comettor. The Prime in this two figure set is BASICALLY a Voyager size version of Leader Class Optimus Prime. HE has the same relative appearance and very similar transformation. he also includes a Matrix of Leadership. there was a version of him released in 2010 with white blades. I got my DOTM one off ebay and its a very nice figure. you should check it out.

this is a pice of shit! it took me 10 hours for me to figer out the work on the trailer from Armor to Trailer. from Robot mote to truck failed I cannot get it to work. not its stuck in a mix up messed up I do not know what and unable to get it to the robot format. and kids do this? I like this one. But hoping they make some upgrade kit for it like fwi-1 or the Bruticus upgrade. Take the trailer, remove bfg and fold wheels inward. A bigger set of wheels to match ROTF Prime could tab in bfg spots also add a new hitch. In robot mode instead of bfg on back , a twin rocket and two handguns.

Prime's trailer didn't even transform into that monstrosity in the movie....... I'm disappointed with the fact that hasbro produced a weapon for optimus that was never seen or used in the film. And whats worse in my opinion is that this version of optimus isn't even accurate with how he looks in the films. All and all we get a optimus that is inaccurate with the film and a oversized inaccurate trailer that costs 80$........... Should have reused the Rolf prime mold and stuck a trailer on it.

OK so I finaly saw the movie last night & hate this figure even more now!

I would much rather have a Optimus figure(even if they used this basic prime) & that awesome weapon trailer.

$80 for a combining brick is doing nothing for me, but I'd gladly drop that on a prime who came with that armory.

I wouldn't see it as partsforming what so ever as much as versatile customizing in a contained unit.

I also saw clear pics of the Takara Wing Prime, not interested at all.

When connecting the hips to the stomach they stomach keeps coming out really easily , shouldnt it be much more tighter together?
