If i had a horn/strobe I'd be happy to; sadly, this is just a strobe. For some reason, EST made their strobes with the grille present for some reason, so even though they all look alike, they aren't necessarily.
even on continuous, the genesis can not be coded,And you have it completely opposite. it is in continuous, and you have to cut some jumpers to make it code three.
ok, all of you guys arguing, I looked it up and the default is code three. you can cut a jumper to use it on coded systems (but you have to use a Genesis Signal Master to code them or they'll sound in continuous). there are various models (horn only) that can't do temporal at all. So, default is temporal, cut the jumper is continuous, you can code them only with a Genesis Signal Master unit.
the SHG itself is on continuous while my panel is on code 3. I took all of the jumpers on the back off so I could wire the horn and strobe separately without having to worry about which jumper goes where which means I can't code the SHG itself.
The SHG can do code-3 if you put the jumpers in a certain configuration. Its code three isnt exactly temporal though, it takes a little more than 1.5 seconds between rounds.
SOUNDS LIKE A GENTEX COMMANDER 3!!!!

even if it was a horn strobe, you can only do code three on a genesis
WheelockAlarms 3 years ago
no, you can cut a jumper and it will go to steady sound, but you cant change it back to code 3..

well what i heard the default is code 3 because that is what most are.

Is that one Continuous/March Time, or Continuous/Code-3?

Cool. But which code does the SHG do besides Continuous?

weathermaniac1 3 years ago
Yeah, it's like two seconds.
eddieeddieeddie13 3 years ago
oh ok i just now got your question :)
weathermaniac1 3 years ago
That's what my SHG looks like. Only difference is that mine's white.
