We checked all online dictionaries and even those in the largest library in the city. аnd what is the translation of the word "Hengilas"? We found only "padlock" thanslation, but no idea whether it is correct or not :(

@Janey7Bee kolniður isn't a word. I would guess it's somehow related to the word Kolniðamyrkur (pitch black darkness). So you could say it means pitch black even though kol = charcoal and niða =ripple (water). I'm just struggling to get what it means in icelandic, translating it to english is even harder for me :( (meh, feel like a poser pointing it out but I'm born and raised in iceland)
