  • @lowcountryhooper thanks for clarifying that... I kept calling it PVC pipe and could totally see me purchasing the wrong tubing.

  • Hockey tape is a really good tape to use. And like others have said, boiling water is better than hair dryer. Around ten seconds in the water for each end.

  • instead of using a blow dryer use a pot of boiling water, much faster

  • It's not pvc pipe, it's polyethylene. PVC will not work.

  • @lowcountryhooper this isn't true- pvc works fine if you have a heat gun. --- and also that irragation hose IS a pvc.

  • @ImALoserBabyKillMe I'm sorry, I don't want to start a fight, but it's not PVC pipe. Irrigation tubing is made of polyethylene. Polyethylene tubing bends without heating, so it can be formed into a circle. You just have to heat the ends to get the connectors in. To bend PVC pipe into a circle, you would have to fill it with sand and heat the whole thing, otherwise it would crack. I wanted to clarify b/c a lot of people buy the wrong pipe when starting and it is discouraging when it doesn't work.

  • Its coupling

  • copling ?? Is this the name ??

  • Duct tape will totally screw up your nice metallic tapes later when you decorate. Just use electric tape or a small piece of gaffer's tape. Also dipping the ends of the tubing into boiling water is faster than the blow dryer.....

....I only know from trial, error, and experience.
