  • Chuck Norris threw that 1st punch

  • it would be cool if everyone got 5 years off their sentance....but that would be too good to be true

  • OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH they are saving him lol

i thot they where attacking him for a min

  • I bet that this was all planned.

  • @Vesivian dude,hell no it wasnt planned.

Look at that video,it took Every one of them guys to pull that one guy off the prison guard.

he had that clutch on him all the way to the end and he was gonna kill him..period.

kudos to the inmates for doing the right thing.

  • @Vesivian Yeah it was planned... "Ok so im gonna choke the guard and everyone else jump me!" HHAAHHAHAHA

  • Damn, Atleast they have empathy and care for others.

  • they were all arrested for being too nice

  • I hope the rescuers all get a second chance at life.

  • @Snauzer67 yeah i hope so

  • Though these men did this and that, Think about the other inmates that get free rides doing these things. They did there stuff which can never be erased, but at least for once they've tasted heroism.

  • I personally would turn my eyes away and mind my own damned biz.. If these inmates were looking for some award or sentence reducal for saving that C/O they wasted their time and energy. Those C/O's still see them as the bottom feeders of society.

  • @cheeztrap Not always true. Personal experience talking here. I have happily shaken the hands of parolees I have run across. Not most of them by any means, but more than a few. There are criminals in prison to be sure, but there are also people who just got caught up in a bad situation they would normally have avoided on a good day.

  • @genepoolshallow Errrm.....What are you disagreeing with about my comments? All I said is that the inmates situation probably won't get any better even though they saved the man's life. It's still a good deed however. I don't know where in my comment you picked up the idea that I was judging people in jail. No no no. I myself have been there and still wouldn't necessarily call myself a "bad" guy but again that is only my opinion of myself.

  • @cheeztrap Naw, I was just saying that all C/O's don't always consider all inmates as Bottom Feeders. Particularly the lower level inmates who are in for minor charges related to smoking pot or bouncing checks and whatnot. As for sentence reduction, that can't really happen, although it might reflect well in a parole hearing.

  • I'm sure Deputy Moon was nice and all but I'm pretty sure these inmates helped him because they didn't want to suffer from the lockdown that would have taken place for weeks afterwords..

  • 0:09 POW!!! haha... what a punch!

  • wow thats really amazing!

if i didnt read the title i would have first assumed that all the prisoners were trying to attack the guard but how sweet they were trying to save him :) he must have been a nice guard...

  • Just goes to show you can't pre-judge anyone, even criminals. Just because a guy is willing to rob you doesn't mean he's a terrible human being- just that he's made some bad life choices. Good people are everywhere, even in jail.

  • true, true

  • @wtf84b true. most people become crminals cause they have no choice. they have no home no money no food. so they have no choice but to take it for thier own survivial

  • @wtf84b Amen to that, Brother.

  • @wtf84b Just so you know of the first 4 guys to go help him 1 was in for attempted murder, one was in for assault and battery and one of them was in for a violent home invasion. What they did her was good was a good deed but that doesn't necessarily make them good or bad people. A lot of things are black and white with some gray in the middle but "human goodness" (for lack of a better term) is like 99% gray

  • those i/m need to get some time off sentence for that

  • The inmates' basic response to why they helped the guard:: "(He)'s a good guy."

  • @intrepidvs

Look a little closer...there are actually some black guys coming to help.

  • uh, does your racism blind you so much that you don't see the black people who came to help? haha.

Ok here, look at this news clip that shoes the main four given credit for helping. One is black, one is hispanis, one is vietnamese and one is white. Moron.

  • Get your facts straight...it was a Mexican, an Asian, an African-American, and a white dude that help Moon.

  • Get your facts straight before you start mumbling about shit you don't know about...it was a Mexican, an Asian, an African-American, and also a white dude that helped Officer Moon...You Idiot!

  • i guess the prisoners that did save him were honourable people deep down who learnt their lesson. this is like Professor Moriarty saving Sherlock Holmes. unbelievable

  • for all u ppl referring to this as prison it's not. it's a county jail in tampa and if they didn't help him believe me they all would've suffered for it. Those Officers would've became awfully hard-handed with those guys afterwards, so it benefitted everybody and the State Of Florida isn't cutting your time for SHIT, no matter how glorious an act you perform....

  • This really touched me, i never thought inmates would save a guard, there is good in everyone, even if they are in prison i have respect for them, and i bet a lot of the cops there do to now. They should get released earlier or something for good behavior and a good deed.

  • Couldnt have said it better :)

  • was the Prison Guard alright ?

  • Yes.

  • One thing it does show is that there's good in everyone, it just sometimes takes someting special to show it. Let's hope these guys can get look at what's happened, how they reacted and what they did and use it as a springboard to move forward in a positive way !

  • fair play to them

  • they were all like, FRED NO, TONIGHT'S FRIED CHICKEN NIGHT!!! DONT DO IT!

  • there's good in everyone folks!

  • You have no idea what those inmates have done to be in prison, so why should they all have thir terms shortened?

They should look on it as a case by case basis and they definately should be commended in some way but shortening their terms as a flat reward is a little hasty.

  • Well it obviously shows that they have morals and that they aren't completely evil people :P it pleased me to see that they helped xD

  • Why would someone neg rep this comment? This guy is speaking the truth. You guys have to think about it for a second. If they gave these guys shorter terms for saving a prison guards life you would see a bunch of cases like these starting to spring up all over America. And for all we know these so called "saviours" could be planning this stuff. Inmates aren't stupid, in fact they are quite intelligent.

  • Yes.. intelligent enough to realize that if doing this meant shorter sentences, they'd force other inmates to attack guards just so they could save them.

The problem is they are given good-time before they ever do any time... so theres really no reward for good behaviour.. just punishment for bad.

  • Exactly. If inmates saw that you got rewarded for saving a guards life they would take the time to capitalize on the opportunity while they had the chance. Things such as gang initiations would be perfect for this type of scenario.

  • The 1st man to help was imprisoned for a armed home invasion, the two others were a Alleged killer and a Drug Trafficker

  • yeah i think there prison time should be shorted.
